Lifetime supply of heavy duty ties, useful for farm and garden
DESCRIPTION:This is a bulk pack of 1200 black zip ties, 14" long, 0.25" wide. The grip range is 0.5" (smallest) to 3.5" diameter (largest). The 14" dimension is nominal - the actual overall length is about 13.5". ————————HOW I USE THEM:I use these primarily in the vegetable garden for connections that need to last the growing season. Examples:1. Holding three bean poles together to make a tripod for pole beans [see photo].2. Securing running "knots" of rope to grade stakes. Instead of tying an individual knot at each stake, I just loop the rope around once tightly and secure the loop with a zip tie [see photo].3. Securing wire fencing to metal fence posts.4. I also tossed a handful in the trunk of each car, because you never know when you may need them.————————PLUS POINTS:1. Very strong and break resistant.2. 14" is a generous length, and reduces the need to daisy-chain ties to get a desired length.3. Each tie has a number pressed into it, just below the head (see photo). A quick survey of a sample found the numbers range from 1-37. These may just indicate the machine they were made on, but the numbers can be useful to detect if some sneaky person has changed out a zip tie on you. For example, you may secure a tool box, locker, pool fence, or car key with a tie, then later you can tell if someone (who doesn't know about the numbers) has cut the tie off, borrowed your stuff, and then replaced it with another.————————MINUS POINTS:This is pretty minor, but the bag says not to open until ready to use. Of course, 1200 is a lifetime supply for me, so I am not sure what happens if you leave the bag open.————————OVERALL:Very pleased with these, they have a multitude of uses around the farm/garden!

Very tough and very strong
I don’t think that I appreciated how big and thick these zip ties are until I saw them in person. I am definitely not complaining, quite the contrary, I was very pleased to discover that these zip ties really helped to define the word “industrial.“As soon as they arrived in the mail, I started to put them to use. I had a speaker bar that was sitting on my desk, which I had not gotten around to mounting yet. So, when I opened the package, I looked at the bag of zip ties then over at the speaker and thought “why not?“ So I mounted it to a nearby fixture, and was very impressed at how well just one zip tie held. Once I got it into place I cranked hard on the free end of the tie, ratcheting it tighter and tighter by rocking back-and-forth while pulling. Using this method, I was able to remove several more clicks of slack out of the loop and was able to get it super tight. I was not being gentle with it. I was really pulling hard, but neither the tie nor the little ratchet piece inside gave any ground at all.Later, when I needed to reposition a zip tie that I had already put on, I cut the existing zip tie (I do know ways of releasing the tension without cutting, by inserting a shim, but I wanted to test the strength). I used some tough, but regular, scissors to cut it. It took a little bit of effort to get through it in one squeeze of the scissors handles which gave me confidence for use on more challenging projects.I am really looking forward to using these in our shipping container to hang light bulb cables from the ceiling. This is just one of many projects that are ideally suited for this type of cable tie.All things considered, I am extremely pleased with this zip tie/cable tie set and know that I will get an absolute ton of use out of it. I wholeheartedly recommend.

These are large zip ties
For the price, these are winners. I'm used to the standard office-issue zip ties. Sort of thin and usually less than 12" long. I didn't really THINK about the description of these when I read it. These are long (yes 14") and really robust. As other reviewers have already said (better than I could) that these are best used for lawn and yard projects (for me that will be attaching some old orchid baskets to my fence) or wrangling big office cables. I've already used a few to secure cables to monitor brackets. As to cutting them, I used regular 7" office scissors and had no problem. Others have said these cables are tough to cut but that was NOT my experience. That said, I think they will hold up outside for as long as they are in place. Just don't expect them to be cut resistant.

A must-have for any DIY project
These XINGO 14-inch zip ties are a must-have for any DIY project or organization task. With 1200 ties in the pack, I’m never short on them, and their 75 lbs tensile strength means they hold up securely for heavy-duty use. The UV resistance is perfect for outdoor applications, so I don't have to worry about them degrading in the sun. The self-locking feature ensures a tight and reliable hold. Whether I’m bundling cables, securing items, or organizing my space, these ties get the job done efficiently. Definitely a great value and essential for any toolbox.

Strong, great hold.
Zip ties are one of those things I always like to have on hand. At 14", these are so useful for so many things, and these ties are not just long but also very nice. They're not overly stiff as some are, so they're really easy to work with, especially if you have to feed them through tighter spaces. I knew these had good locking mechanisms when I used the first one and heard the loud, crisp, ratcheting sound as it gripped the teeth. And these do hold very well. I haven't had one slip or break yet, and I've used quite a few, whether working on cars, wiring, or any other projects around the house, yard, and garage. Great quality ties. Zero complaints.

This is a lot of zip ties
Zip ties are just some of the handiest things to have around for so many different applications and quick fixes. I have always been of the opinion you can't have too many of them. I did briefly question that when they arrived as this is a lot of zip ties but then thought hey if I use 1 every day I wouldn't get more than 3 1/2 years out of this supply. If used much more infrequently you might have a lifetime supply but yeah you can never have too many.
