A: i like it for preventing irritation at the back of my ankle from new shoes. it was working so well i made the mistake of applying it to the bottoms of my feet as well and it made my feet kinda slide around a bit in my shoes and caused irritation there.

A: It won't keep the shoe from digging into your foot, but it would help the shoe to slide over your foot. It really just keeps the skin from sticking together and makes it slide easier. It's great for that.
