This is artisan pit-burned biochar, not your kiln/industrial equivalent. 2) Dry Biochar works, but my nutrient (wet/moist) bacteria culture filled Biochar works better! I sell my Biochar to gardeners around the UK and Europe and they love it! Biochar increases plant growth and yield. Saves you money (less watering, no chemical fertilisers). Helps fight climate change – by locking carbon in the ground, out of the atmosphere. Acts as a microbe haven, locking nutrients, bacteria, & funghi – increasing soil fertility. 100% organic – locally & sustainably sourced (no artificial ingredients). Effective for over 50 years! HOW TO USE 0.5kg for 1sq metre of soil -- more for densely growing plants &/or drier more compact soil -- less for spaced out &/or wetter more fertile soil. Top soil: sprinkle & rake gently in. Also sprinkle around the base of existing plants. Potting composts: mix 5% biochar with the compost, before potting in containers. Veg & sowing plants: sprinkle 1/2 tsp into each planting location. Trees & shrubs: sprinkle cupful around sides & bottom of each planting hole. Compost heaps: spread handfuls over surface, to layer the compost build up (helps with bad odour too). [Water area after adding the biochar.] Originally an indigenous ian technique of pit-burning then covering the fire, stopping oxygen participation.
