EDIT 2023: I have now used this for about 4 years. I've used it on inflatable boats including kayaks and an Achilles hypalon dinghy as well as single, queen, and King size air mattresses for camping. This has worked flawlessly. I bought a 12 volt extension cord for it. That gave it some more functionality. This thing continues to run without a hitch. Well worth the $14 they are currently asking and is still worth much more. Again I have to say that you use this to inflate whatever it is you're trying to inflate but when you get to the and you'll still need the pump to make the item firm. But this will save you from having to pump up the entire item. I also have one of these that uses 4D batteries. Another good air pump. I should also mention that while some 12 volt devices will blow the fuse for your PowerPoint or the PowerPoint itself the side of it's not done this and the entire time I've owned it and I've used it in cigarette lighters as well which have lower amp ratings than a PowerPoint. In my opinion this is the one to buy I know it works and if it ever stopped I would just get another one of these but I don't see this thing ever dying. Money well spent. They did not give me anything for this review.This pump is incredible. I have only used it once take that for what it's worth. It blew up my boat in a few minutes much faster than a high-volume foot pump. No part of the unit cord or plug was hot. This feels like a dollar store toy or something you get for a couple of dollars at a vacation town. It was not able to blow it up completely but it filled it full of air so that I don't have to stand in the sun for 10 minutes pumping a pump. I think I paid around $20 for it it would be worth 25. 30 if you were about to leave for vacation and needed it. Remember this is one time but it showed no sign of stopping and it's such a simple device that I think it will last for a long time. I highly recommend. This is the boat and a Crown Victoria to give you an idea of size. You will need to finish off with a hand pump or a foot pump but you will not be pumping much. You will need to blow the boat up near the vehicle because the cord isn't that long. But it did reach outside my full-size vehicle and to the valves 8 feet away or so.

I ordered my pump about a month ago and like some others, I received the wrong one (110v AC version instead of the 12v DC version). Amazon sent me a replacement but it was exactly the same. After starting my returns for both with Amazon I reached out to the seller, the acknowledged that this was a problem they were working through and apologized to me for the inconvenience. They then sent me the correct model directly (and very quickly). This is two things sellers often fail at when faced with a problem (acknowledgement that there's a problem, and quickly going out of their way to get the customer the right item even if it costs them money/a sale).As far as the product goes, this pump is amazing and I've already had several friends ask about how I'm inflating my large Costco "island" float so fast. More than a few told me they would be ordering one of these ASAP (the fact that it's a quarter of the price of the slow one they sell at West Marine makes this an amazing bargain). As long as you're using the widest nozzle, this beast is every bit as powerful as they claim. If you use the smaller tips it naturally won't be able to move as much air, but this can be said about all pumps of this type.I was a little worried about the vent in the back affecting things because I bought this for use on my boat and the electronics were visible. While I'm sure it's not advised and your mileage may vary, I can tell you from experience that using this in water is not a problem... I even dropped it in the river while it was running, it didn't skip a beat! I also use it to deflate large flats that invariably get water in them and thus far water passing through the pump hasn't hurt it yet. Looking through the vent I can see that the solder joints are very clean and well done, meaning this will probably last for years to come.The one thing I would like the seller to add is the amperage draw of the pump. I have a multimeter so I may try to get this information myself. I expect the draw to be much higher than the slow pumps (that's how power works) but this would be nice to know up front so you don't risk blowing a fuse on the power source or damaging connectors.

I'm writing this for 12v DC unit. The Material is very much plastic, but this unit does it's two jobs (inflate/deflate) great and fast. Used it this week and I was amazed how fast my inflatable bed was inflated. Gave me extra time to do other stuff ( rather than wait for it to inflate)Only downfall for me is that: the unit heats up very fast (I imagine with that tiny motor it has too). However, I hope it doesn't overheat on me.

So, like my headline states, this little AIR BOSS 12V DC Air Pump is amazing. It's super fast. It would blow up my inflatable kayak in just a few minutes if I was faster with getting to all of the different sections. The cord is also really long so I can plug it into the outlet in the front of my car and run it outside the back (in my Nissan Versa - haha).I'd highly recommend this powerful little air pump. It even has three different nozzle connectors for different items. It also pumps up regular inflatable toys and mattresses.

This is a very cheaply made product. Doesn't really push enough air to fill up a 3 person tube. The one I received had an electrical short in it. The second time we used it, the motor cut in and out. If you wiggled the cord where it went into the unit it would come on for a second or two and then die again. Poorly made junk. Look elsewhere if you need something for blowing up tubes on a boat.

This air pump is worth all the money, it fits in one hand and is sooooo fast compared to big name air pumps that suck, I inflated a double river run inner tube from flat in about 4 minutes...mind u this pump is tiny and HAS BIG AIR!!!! I just got it and am so impressed I timed a single river run tube in just over 2 minutes, it plugs into your car dc and is crazy fast,everone needs this its a space saver!!!

I have had the pump for 3 months and used maybe a dozen times. Today it failed. Shame as it started off as a great pump
