The very best gardening shears I have ever had by far ! They self adjust to the size you are cutting and no work at all !
These are just amazing ! I have been gardening all my life and have even done a few reviews here on amazon with garden shears but these are in a class all of their own. The reason I got these is my other ones had become dull as they do quite fast. I am hoping since these are made of SK5 steel, whatever that is , that this pair will stay sharp longer. With the dull pair I was not getting clean cuts and that invites diseases and bugs especially with fruit tress and roses. I went to try these out and yes they do indeed make a very clean cut. What is really nice to me is when I squeeze down they make a click sound and the cut happens so fast you don't see it. You exert no effort at all ! Somehow or another this ratchet thing is doing the work ! My hands are saying thank you so much this is wonderful. No blisters and sore wrist ! Also the handle has a place to put your pointy finger in and the rest of your fingers behind them. It makes the grip nice and secure. You can see on my third picture as the branch was a bit bigger it self adjusted itself to position number 2 and then click-Done-! I was telling my friend and saying and it just goes click and that's it ! I has three sizes it can self adjust to depending on the size of what you are cutting and it does it for you ! It also will lock close when you are done ! They fit well in the hand and are very lightweight ! I have nothing but good things to say about these ! I wish I had found these long ago ! So yes all five stars and I would give them 50 if I could ! I hope you may have found this helpful ! [email protected]

Get what you pay for...
Just BARELY worth keeping. The black slide release is ridiculously hard to move. When I finally got it slip open, it was impossible to move again to shut it. Also, once you DO open the pruner, the whole thing feels very loose and cheaply made. I've owned Florian ratcheting clippers in the past. The OLD ones (8-10 yrs) were awesome! Unfortunately, I lost them and had to buy a new pair. The new ones are made in China and not at all the same quality as the original. Trying to find a replacement. These are better than nothing, but just.

Heavy duty shears
These are by far the best pruning shears I've owned. It's made of metal, so it should last longer than the ones I've owned before that were made of plastic. The blades on these shears are very sharp, and I haven't had any problems pruning small branches with these easily. The lock latch was at first a little hard to engage, but I discovered if I squeeze down on the handles, the latch slides easily into place. I'd definitely recommend these pruning shears.

Not heavy duty but great for light duty.
Squeeze the end of the yellow handle with the thumb muscle and it works best. Don't hold it too high on the handle. The blade is thin so don't allow the tool to rotate while making cut. This BCHWAY tool is a bargain at $10. Packaging showed pictures of three different tools with other names and stock numbers. The ratchet feels strange but it does work well.

seemed nice enough, but could not close the latch
opened the sheers for first use. flexed the handle. seemed nice enough, but could not close the latch, even with company's help via return email. simply would not close and latch so i could carry them safely. returning.

Great for the price, but not perfect
I do like this product, but it has a few things that could be better. This does a great job of cutting (I actually use this to cut hard dog treats into smaller pieces), but my wife can't use it because it takes too much strength to make a cut. I, however, have no issues and like it. My main quibble is the black sliding latch that locks/unlocks the blade. I have to really squeeze hard to get it closed enough so the slider will slide. Other than that, I like this quite a bit.

Prune;s great!
I have used this pruner for the past week and it does the job! makes puning a breeze without hand muscles getting strained or tired. It is Awesome! I hope that it lasts. The one it replaced had the little spring that allows it to ratchet, pop off it's spring holders and there was no way to replace it.

Completely Fulfilled All Of My High Expectations
I bought this particular anvil pruner because I have severe arthritis in my hands, particularly my thumbs where the joint joins my hand. As I had hoped, this product has certainly made my gardening more pleasurable and much, much less painful. The ratchet capability allows me to cut back branches I would never have considered attempting to prune with ordinary shears as it would have been just too painful. The BCHWAY anvil pruner seems to be sharp enough to cut just about anything, and I believe it will hold up for years under some pretty serious pruning. I am patting myself on my back because I was smart enough to make this purchase. I will probably buy one of these for my daughter for Christmas as she is beginning to have the same problem with her hands as I do.
