Fantastic
Now this is what I call an amazing film! The pace is sustained throughout, not one minute where your mind could wander. It follows the life of an Italian family and two brothers in particular during a period of political unrest in Italy.I was there during this period and can relate to the story from a very close point of view. The movies is long, but as I stated, not a moment is wasted and it is really a lesson of how a good story can be told and how to keep an audience entranced.I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good Italian movies. I watched it in the Italian version, but sub-titles in English are provided. This copy has good quality in picture and sound, which unfortunately, is not always the case when converting from the European system to NTSC.Enjoy.

Not too bad
Pretty good acting and I was able to care about what was happening to the three of them. But the overlay of science fiction fantasies didn't work for me. The ending was just lazy, like they didn't want to take the time and effort to do it right.

An Alien Story
A storyline with much promise that never gelled. The whole science fiction business of aliens never converged with the main plot but remained a parallel artificial construct. Too many question marks went unanswered. The movie did not leave me with a good feeling, despite the promising ending. 3 stars.

Not a sugar coated story of life and love.
Luigi Lo Cascio fascinating as one of two "odd duck" characters in this contemporary Italian movie. Interesting view of ordinary life.
