SEED POTATOES Blue Danube Early main-crop variety from the same stable as Sarpo Mira and Axona. Previously known as Adam Blue but now re-launched as Blue Danube. The oval tubers have a stunning purplish-blue skin and the bright white flesh has a floury texture with an excellent flavour. Good all round culinary potato, makes great mash or chips, particularly good roasties and the larger tubers excel as bakers. Tubers have shown resistance to bruising and splitting while trials have found good resistance to blackleg, skin spot and potato virus Yo. and although not blight proof Blue Danube has moderate foliar blight resistance and strong tuber blight resistance.
