I can't find the name of the cage since we disposed of the box it came in.** A: I can't help if you don't know the brand. If you got it at a pet store it is likely a cheaper cage. If there is a support for a shelf you can make a substitute from a white plastic wallcovering board sold at both Home Depot and Lowe's. At Home Depot it is called Plastex. You will find it in the rear of the store lying flat under the upright trim boards. Have an employee roll it up and secure it with that self sticking clear wrap they put around bundles. If tape is used you will want to remove adhesive with a solvent like naphtha, even charcoal lighter fluid. Take it home, lay ona something for a cutting board. Then use a yardstick or better strighjtedge to measure, mark and cut with a utility knife with a fresh blade. You can use this to cover any wire cage floor and also I have sometimes used it to close the front of a cage when I have had a cage biter. To hold it on the vertical surface drill small holes and attach to the wires with small zip ties. When they are tight cut off the tails close to the grabbing end.If you have a Ferret Nation you would know because they cost a lot more and are very sturdy. I was given some cages without the plastic trays and just used the white board instead. I like it better than the original trays. You can cut extra material to make spill guards. Hold them in place with 2 inch spring clamps from Home Depot. Get them in the tool area by the other carpentry clamps. I think I read something that someone was trying to do it while the pan was in the cage.. I'm pleased with the fit. When putting together they're a tab you bend it to help secure it.The bottom scatter gaurd I had a slight issue with the first one Item side gaurds are too big by a half inch to 1/4 inch on the sides can't install it to my pan for my ferret nation 181. some of the pieces were slightly damaged but the boxes are not. Was returned before Im thinking? for the same issue because of the damage on the part that snap together. I ordered another one it was slightly better but still a little too big on the side, it doesn't fit in the pan on one side and sits up causing a gap. Maybe I'll order another and see if I have the same issue for the bottom scatter gaurd.
