Sorry, but I don not use the for cooking...........It Is A GREAT Decor Piece! So I can't speak to it's favor.I have had it on the counter, in the kitchen, and no change it it's beauty! No affects from humidity.

Not good quality metal
Warped once placed on the heat. I thought maybe the weight of the salt stone would straighten it but no.... warped bad.Cheap metal por construction, sorry.
