Did the job with ease.
I just used this on a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4X4. The stock springs are rated at 590 lbs.I replaced some 12 year old Bilstein 4600's with new 5100's set at .85" lift. The last time I did this I used a rental spring compressor from a local auto parts store which had 1" diameter bolts that bowed like a banana when the spring was compressed. It was scary to say the least. This time I decided to purchase the AFA compressor as it had all 5 star reviews. It was worth the investment and the 5 star rating.I liberally drenched the bolts with a synthetic extreme service lubricant before use. This compressor handled the job with ease. The hooks fit the springs very well and the adjustable steel safety harness was a big plus as far as a feel good! This will not allow the 2 compressor's to move away from each other.I did not use an air compressor as a 1/2" ratchet was sufficient. Nothing felt stressful as far as tightening. After use I inspected the bolts and did not observe any damage. I did relube the bolts before and after the first strut as done.Overall this turned out to be an easy and safe job for my Tacoma springs. I never observed any stress on this spring compressor at all.I have no regrets at all purchasing this product.Pictures say a thousand words.Update: I have used these four times now and all the experiences were the same as the first. Very solid spring compressor for my uses.

Surprisingly good.
When i first purchased these i was a little worried because of the cost and i thought the thickness was going to be a little to small on the casting of some of the areas but it performed great. I used these to replace the coil springs on a 2013 tundra with aftermarket beefy bilstein springs and it handled it no problem.

Works great
Just used it for the first time on a 2009 Hyundai Sante Fe and they use heavy front springs, It compressed them without any issue, Made very well and love the safety arms so not to worry about the spring shooting out.

Used this to install Bilstein 5100 and FJ springs on a 2004 4Runner, worked great. Instructions were in Russian but straightforward to figure out.

Worked Great
Worked better than expected. Used it to remove springs from Avalanche which has heavy duty 1/2” thick coils the same found on a suburban. This tool handled the springs with ease. These where way better than the loaner tools that you can borrow, definitely recommend.
