Great when you need to charge your phone need headphones

Perfect adaptor for my Samsung S22 ultra
This is a handy item to have for your phone that only has a type C charging port and no ear bud access. I do not like wireless ear buds and my most comfortable set has the standard type plug in. This is also convenient to be able to charge and talk at the same time. Hubby found this on Amazon and am happy he did!

Cuts out words from audiobooks. Cuts out when being charged through in vehicle.
Cuts out audio at the start of play, or when there's any silence at all. This means that it cuts off words in audio books -- way too frequently to be of use. Technically, you can get a tone generator and play a sound too deep or high to notice (mostly), and it'll stay alive, so you can play books without interruption. However, even that failed after a while, because it would just cut out, skip, and die after a few minutes of usage -- stopping your music, or book, and requiring reconnection and restarting of your media. It's possible that this is only an issue while driving and charging with this, but it just wasn't worth the hassle. Overall -- problematic enough to be unusable as a daily driver. Technically usable for some purposes.

540 mA? Why?
Update 10 minutes later: holy crap. The cable or the charger is causing the problem! Using the splitter works fine using a different charger and charging cable. Crazy. Original review: I don't understand why my phone is charging at 2.2 W / 540 mA using this when the same charger charges at 7.9. W / 1,911 mA when plugged directly into my phone

Callers can't hear you well at all
My voice was very low level to callers even with my phone's mic volume turned up all the way. I switched to my old phone adapter adapter (same style, USB-C cable that splits into a 3.5mm mic jack, plus another USB-C jack) and callers could hear me fine/very loud again, even with the phone's mic volume turned way down. I had to return.
