Original, clever, dark and twisted
I came across this comic last year whilst exploring my new Kindle. I saw Twisted Dark pop up whilst looking through various graphic novels and thought, for under a pound, I couldn't go wrong. After reading the first story in this collection, it became pretty clear that I had got more than just a bargain. After reading the rest of the book, I felt GUILTY for having paid so little! So much so, I'm going to buy the paperback! It's that good! Each story is unique and - you guessed it - dark and twisted. The illustrations are awesome, with a mixture of very talented artists at hand, giving each story its own look and feel, making them all stand out in their own way and the dialogue leaves a real mark on your mind. Combined, you get a whole series of very memorable, and at times, haunting experience. One of the reasons why I love these stories so much isn't just because they are well written or creepy; it's because none of them are supernatural. All the stuff you read here could, and most likely has happened in the world we live in. Now, in itself, that may not sound like a big deal, but you'd only say that if you hadn't read the book...On that note, I heavily encourage you to give this awesome series a read. As I said, it's worth the extra money for the paperback, but if you're a little hard up on cash or just tight, then your gonna get an absolute steal from the kindle store! There's a new talent on the comic book scene, and this guy is one to watch.Volume 2 is even better, but that's not really for here...

An interesting collection of tales
I really enjoyed the style of the illustrations but was left wanting more from the tales themselves. This is not to say that they weren't enjoyed but I was hoping for something a little scarier/shocking.

Enjoyable read
This caught my eye at a comic con I visited and I flicked through the first few pages and was intrigued. The stories are dark and twisted just like the title. Some stories are predictable but still a great read! I liked that some characters had their stories continued.

A decend read for the price.
The stories are dark and sometimes shocking, it does a great job of leading up to the climax in an intense way.The stories are also short but link together quite well, I read this for the kindle which does not do a great job, the text is way to small and spread apart so you have to constantly zoom in and out all the way into the text bubble if you do not fancy squinting then entire time.I was expecting a better storyline but for the price I suppose it was worth it, after all I did just go in blind and made it an impulse buy.

it's ok
I dunno for the price of a chocolate bar you can't complain, I felt like it was worth reading for the last story. Some of the earlier ones seem a bit stupid, I get that there is a twist but they don't seem to bear much relevance to what's going on....once there was a tree but then actually it was a talking frog who killed people. That's essentially the depth of plot your getting. Apparently all these stories slowly connect over the next volume so maybe they will be explained further but I doubt I'll ever pick up anymore of these titles.....probably get more pleasure out of chocolate instead.

Twisted macabre, a bit like that feeling I'm sure the Germans have a word for, you want to look away but can't,
Suffice it to say the artwork is interesting at times but the stories oh my, brilliant. The audacious is mundane, the mundane somehow surreal.Especially liked the stories on Rajeev on power and inequality, the cartel story that zips like a fast paced movie, and quite a few more. The twist at the end is expected with each narrative however one cannot guess which way they'll go.All in all am really looking forward to more Neil Gibson

It's err, twisted and um, err, dark....
It's an odd collection of stories and I mean that in the most positive way possible. Comics these days can be so predictable but not this one. I really enjoyed trying to guess where the stories were going and getting it wrong. It had a dark humour often based around being flippant about awful things and I liked that a lot.

Twisted Dark
A delightfully dark comic that delves into the minds of several characters revealing their corrupt thoughts and processes. However sometimes it seems to be dark for the sake of being dark rather than making a point. EG: the windowpayne storyline. However, I could may well be missing some subtler points.
