Sturdy.
I bought this because it is a wooden head and might be made in the USA. I am not sure on that however. The broom head is sturdy and does a very good job of cleaning dirt and sawdust from concrete floor. It requires a separate handle. I have used this daily for a few months and I expect to get several years of service from it.
