Edited to add: this company provides excellent customer service. I returned the product. And not only were they responsive, they offered to send another size at no charge, and they were friendly and cooperative. I would definitely buy from them again.The only problem I have is the way the product functioned. We have a very large dog, and maybe I didn't get the right size (I got a large). Although we measured him before I ordered, I'm thinking he might need an XL so that it wouldn't have to go so far back. But it fit behind his rib cage and then slipped off his hind end when we tried to lift him up with it. But he was not helping at all, so maybe we were trying to lift too much weight (about 90 lbs). It might just need a strap to hold it in place and keep it from sliding backwards. The product itself was nice and seemed well-made, and the delivery was fine. I am returning the product and got an immediate response from the seller, so I'm pleased overall with this purchase. It just didn't work perfectly for our dog. But he's almost immobile and might just be too large for this type of product to pick him up.

So far I would say, better than expected, but I will update with durability. My Dobie is 126 lbs with degenerative myelopathy. And a backyard door with 3 steep steps.

So far this is working really well for our dog. It feels like it's comfortable for him, the fabric is strong and attractive (it matches our dog's black fur -- this seems irrelevant, but sometimes when your dog is sick and needs help, it is kind of nice to see him looking a bit dapper and cared-for). The straps are strong yet made of smooth material and are lightweight and adjustable, and the smoothness of the straps make it easy to quickly adjust the straps' length, which I've had to do several times due to my dog's wobbling. The straps also stay adjusted to where I put them, they don't slip out of place, so that's great.The harness comes with this fabric disc with velcro on one side. It's separate from the rest of the garment. It took me a moment to figure out that this disc was meant to put over both straps to hold them together as a grip, like the ones for luggage. I was really glad they included this thing, as it was very functional, but it got thrown away by someone else in the household who was also initially confused about its purpose, so it's gone. My first thought when I saw it was "why is this not connected permanently to one of the straps?" Since the straps are adjustable, I see the problem, but there must be another way to have that thing be more functional. I'm only on one coffee this morning so far so haven't yet figured out a solution, but if I think of one, I'll suggest it to the company.Other than this tiny thing, this is a great harness, & my dog seems comfy and unencumbered by it, and it has helped us help him stand up "on his own" which is what he needs to do to keep those muscles & joints functioning, and his mental health steady. I'd buy it again.

The media could not be loaded.  I have had the sad experience of having a dog whose back legs/hip got weaker and weaker as they got older and at the time I had no idea how to help them but these days I have 2 smaller dogs and 1 larger dog which is a bit easier but still you can't really try to walk behind them (tried it, really bad idea) so I ordered this harness that you can use like a sling for dogs who are getting weaker in the back or even the front if needed.The thing is simple to use, unfold, wrap around the dog (velcro connection) and grab the straps, it really is that easy (it does require a bit of cooperation from the dog as you might guess from my choppy video. So with little effort on my part I can give them additional support to walk around the yard or even a bit of help getting into the car with my larger dog.Every dog owner should get one of these because you never know when you pet might get injured or they all get old and weaker just like us. So do yourself and your dog a favor and get one of these harness slings and keep the strain off of their back and yours, 5 Stars for a great idea and product.

It was just the sling I was looking for at a reasonable price. I measured, weighed and chose the sling I thought should fit, (my dog was right on the borderline between M and L), but it didn't quite fit his girth. Contacted the company and told them the issue. They responded same day and sent me a new one free of charge. In fairness I offered to mail back the one that didn't fit but they said to just donate it to my local shelter....which I did. Everybody is happy!

The most difficult thing are the “handles”. While I realize that they are fashioned to make them adjustable but they are very hard for the user to hold I had to get some foul crow and hook them together. You need to look at your design, would never buy again.

Although my dog has not yet allowed me to walk him with it, this is a very well made product. It fastens with velcro so totally wraps around dog's belly and the straps are adjustable. So far, my dog just stands there but I know when I lift his rear end it relieves his hip pain. Until now, I've been lifting him up with my hands just to take a load of when I see him standing with his back legs in a swat. That alone made it worth the small price! However, I'm looking forward to using it on his walks so he doesn't end up squatting like that by the end of the day.

Dog had back surgery & needed this. I should have returned it cause it doesn't work that easily & handle with velcco will not fit the other handle in so you cannot Velcro it totally shut. Used it 5 times & said forget this. I am using a old piece of bedsheet tied at end.

Please look elsewhere if you dog is heavy and also you may want a better HANDLE and wider belt
