Linnea Design 2019 Poster Wall Calendar 14 X 11 Inches Art by Johanna Riley

I've collected at least 20 years worth of poster calendars which are stacked neatly in a drawer in my kitchen, waiting to be displayed a second time depending on what year it is. (You need to look at a perpetual calendar chart to do this.) The calendars are by Nicki Schuman, Kate Libby and for several years now, by Linnea (Johanna Riley). Johanna is hands down my favorite artist because of her use of deep, rich colors and also her interesting and varied choice of subjects. (I am not really interested in posters with a cutesy subject matter that's more appropriate for a playroom than an office.) I've saved all my older calendars thinking that at some point I'll start using the perpetual calendar and display them again instead of buying a new one, but EVERY year I can't resist buying a new Linnea poster calendar. Sigh. I even have three separate style frames I can use so that maybe some year I'll set up two "rotating art galleries" in different places in my home. (My mother-in-law does this in her powder room -- displays rotating months of older calendars and doesn't worry about the dates or accuracy, just enjoys the art.) Frame-wise, I used a lucite box frame for years and grew to hate it - I found it bulky, the edges of the cardboard backing got raggedy and torn, the lucite got scratched up, it's a more casual look and I found it more difficult to hang. So one year I went for a simple glass frame with a thin black metal border, which is very pretty and more formal - and a little more of a pain to change out. Fortunately, this is the second year I've used a standing lucite frame (tilts back, sits on a clear base and you slide the poster between two clear pieces) and its my favorite way to display the calendar. It's easy to change the month and easy to move the display to different locations. Best of all, my family now all comment and admire the calendar as the months change because I have the flexibility to place it in a more visible location.

My sister always wants a Linnea calendar. I used to get one for myself and one for my brother and his wife. I am only giving one to my sister at this time and will continue to do so as long as they produce a calendar. My sister loves to get this as a Christmas gift. I have an artist friend who does a calendar every year and I have chosen hers for my brother and myself. If I didn't purchase Betty Bryden's calendar I would buy myself the Linnea calendar.

I absolutely love these calendars! I have been purchasing them for many years. While they are a little more expensive that some other calendars might be, the are artwork on my kitchen and office walls. I bought 3 frames and keep the current month and the upcoming month in the office. And I love the note cards too! Definitely recommend trying them if you haven’t before.

You won't regret it!This is my second year with a Linnea Design Poster Wall Calendar. I love the artwork by Johanna Riley and the look of the calendar in a clear box frame (I purchased this: MCS 11x14 Inch Clear Box Frame (11114) and purchasing both makes for a great Christmas gift). I read a review here that someone saves and reuses them based on the perpetual calendar chart -- love that idea!

Clear acrylic frame you can buy to display these in is wonderful, but challenging to change from one month to the next. So tight I pinch a finger every time. Also - should be able to buy the calendar pages and the clear frame as a single item. Can't imagine trying to display these in some other way.

This poster calendar was a beautiful change from others I have purchased in previous years. I was born in July, and the art for July is a birthday cake made from watermelon and blueberries. I look forward to viewing that particular month, watermelon is my favorite fruit! Loved how colorful every month is portrayed. I will purchase again in the future.

I've been buying these calendars for years and years. I loved the ones from the time the mother was submitting the drawings, but I enjoy the new ones as well. I cut off the dates and put the pictures in frames; then I change the pictures every month. The pictures are great to use on a classroom bulletin board!

I have been purchasing this calendar line for the past 5 years. Johanna's artwork is simply fantastic, The print quality is very crisp and the card-stock quality is great. I post three months at a time on my wall above my desk so I can enjoy her artistry that much more.
