This book is good for quick review of civil engineering material but you cannot directly go for learning with this book as some terms need basic understanding of the concepts from you past studies. If you just want to memorise all important terms and formulas than you can go for it.

This book is very informative and contains all topics regarding CIVIL ENGINEERING. This book is useful for IES prelims as well as mains and for GATE and PSU interview knowledge. Also can be used for GPSC class -2 engineer exam prelims and for optional subject of UPSC mains.

It's a higher version of R.S.Khurmi's book. Go for this.
