Product Description All ten episodes from the second season of the Golden Globe-winning HBO comedy drama following a group of 20-something women in New York. The show's creator Lena Dunham stars as Hannah, a struggling writer living in Brooklyn who finds herself broke when her parents decide to cut off their financial support. As she attempts to deal with the trials of life including problems at work and in her relationship with Adam (Adam Driver), her friends Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) each battle with their own issues. In this series, Hannah finally gets a chance to progress with her writing but finds the stress of the situation brings back the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder she had as a teenager. Elsewhere, Marnie loses her job and decides to pursue her passion for singing; the recently wed Jessa finds that her marriage is already in trouble and tries to reconnect with her father; and Shoshanna's relationship with Ray (Alex Karpovsky) continues to develop. The episodes are: 'It's About Time', 'I Get Ideas', 'Bad Friend', 'It's a Shame About Ray', 'One Man's Trash', 'Boys', 'Video Games', 'It's Back', 'On All Fours' and 'Together'. Synopsis Following the urban adventures of a group of 20-something women, the series focuses on Hannah Horvath (Dunham) and her complicated web of NYC friends, ex-friends, boyfriends, and ex-boyfriends. This season, Hannah forges ahead in her writing pursuits and begins seeing someone new, but her enthusiasm is tempered by the responsibility she feels her now-ex Adam (Adam Driver), convalescing after his Season 1 finale accident. Let down by works and still lonely after calling things off with Charlie, Marnie (Allison Williams) needs her best friend and former roommate more than ever, but lingering awkwardness – and some surprising turns – only drive a wedge further between the pair. Meanwhile, still-married Jessa (Jemima Kirke) returns from her honeymoon in Mexico, supplying Hannah with new, wild ideas. Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) takes charge of her new identity as a sexually active woman – and copes with the emotions that come along with it – as Ray (Alex Karpovsky) has an out-of-sight, out-of-mind attitude towards their relationship. The girls have their ups and downs, but the show’s raw poignancy and fresh humor remain consistent. And Season 2 of Girls is as addictive as ever.

Continues to get better!
I finally (sadly) finished watching "Girls" Season 2 last night - and I LOVED IT!My initial disappointment with the first couple of episodes was quickly overturned as the season progressed, I was hooked. The show continues to be edgy, smart, funny, quite unique, different and a bit (sometimes more than a bit) awkward (and this comes with the season when we barely see Hannah naked!). There are a few story lines that go through the season, from Shoshanna's relationship with Ray to Hannah's OCD (brilliantly done! If you ever had even a mild form of OCD, you will appreciate and recognise the motions Hannah goes through.). Each episode is its own story, and each chapter is one brilliant sitcom in its own right. Overall the show was very much enjoyed by me.I loved all of the characters, from narcissistic and aloof Jenna to uptight Marnie (also quite narcissistic and manipulative, it turns out!), and curious, honest, with a wry sense of humour, phenomenal (and embracing it) Hannah, and, of course, Shoshanna, who, it seems, is the only lead female character who has her life together (i.e. she goes to college, she is able to communicate her needs and desires to her fellow characters and has a moral barometer that is working!).Time flew by! (And I appreciated less than half an hour episodes - you can watch a few and still have an evening left!) Yes, when I think about this I admit there is not a lot of philosophising going on, and I appreciate a lot of people may think there is no substance to the series, no glowing idea behind "Girls". But I tend to disagree. And in any case, I think the series is a great way to banish the boredom and cringe at the mistakes made by someone else, rather than you.I cannot wait to get my hands on the Third Season so I can watch it all in one weekend!

Thoroughly enjoying the story so far! Great writing & acting. Funny and disturbing all at the same time. My cup of English tea.
Fantastic writing and acting all around! Well done everyone; I am so inspired by watching this insightful and witty view of modern life as a girl learning about what it takes to become a woman. Lena Dunham is not afraid to portray the uglier and more dysfunctional side of what it's like to be a young, ambitious, sexy and smart woman in her twenties in a culture that doesn't get 'artists' or mental illness, (or young women for that matter) and how they can be inextricably linked. I can relate to the story of Hannah as my life has had very similar themes. So refreshing, I want more. Glad there's more! I got more! Adam Driver continues to be a consistent source of inspiration I might add! What a career this has launched. Bravo everybody, you are an incredibly talented bunch! <3

Worth a watch
I have watched all the four seasons of Girls and have really enjoyed watching them, although some parts are a bit cringeworthy. It's a more relatable and modern version of Sex on the City. Very witty comedy. I would recommend giving this a watch if you liked the first season or like other girly sitcoms. It would also make a good birthday/Christmas present! And who thought Adam would go on to play Kylo Ren (in Star Wars)!

Easy to say. I just love girls. Maybe I should have been one. Now doesn't that pose a question?

Don't bother
Self indulgent drivel. Was sick and tired of Hannah stripping off. Far fetched nonsense. Made me feel nauseous in parts. Watch something else, something actually intelligent rather than something pseudo intelligent

more Fab Girls
Im always left wanting more with this seris-this DVD is no exception. As always Hannah and her friends go off on the most random jaunts and all the main characters become even more endearing.

down we go
Die Serie startete fulminant, ein Erdrutsch. Authentisch, wahnsinnig, witzig.

Best season
Wow! I can't believe Amazon sold this season for $3.50?! Not sure why all the other seasons are 6x the price? This is the best season! I can't recap the highlights without typing spoilers, so I'll just mention the episode that plays Fiona Apple's song Valentine while the characters dance and twirl with infatuation. I knew GIRLS was going to be my favorite show ever when they played Fiona Apple in the soundtrack.
