Featuring a powerful tone generator and an inductive probe with AC noise filtering, it enables fast, accurate tracing of coaxial and CATV cables even in noisy environments. Powered by 4 AA batteries and equipped with a built-in LED flashlight, this kit comes in a durable zippered case, making it an essential, portable solution for efficient cable management and troubleshooting. ## Description Identifying the termination point of a wire among a bundle of wires can be difficult and time consuming if you don't have the right tools. The Pro220K Advanced Wire Identification Kit identifies unknown wires in seconds. The Pro220K utilizes a powerful Pro110 Tone Generator to send a tracing tone down the wire, while the user employs the Pro210F Advanced Tone Probe at the termination point, listening for the loudest signal emanating from a wire. By finding that tone, the user is identifying the wire in question. The Pro220K uses inductive forces to sense the signal without the need to actually touch the wire. Review: Must have for cable techs - I’ve been using the Pro220A kit for a couple of weeks now, and it’s become one of those tools I wish I had picked up sooner. The build quality feels solid, and the AC noise filtering makes a noticeable difference compared to cheaper tone and probe sets I’ve used in the past. Tracing coax lines through a crowded distribution box or wall runs is much easier the signal comes through clean without the static or false positives I used to get. What I really like is the sensitivity adjustment on the probe. It lets me zero in on the exact cable instead of just narrowing it down to a group. The tone generator pairs quickly and hasn’t given me any issues with signal loss, even on longer runs. If you work with CATV, satellite, or just need to sort through messy coax installations, this kit is well worth it. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but the time saved and frustration avoided make it an excellent investment. Review: Great tool - This product worked like a dream helping us connect the correct cable lines in our home. A quick tutorial on YouTube and we were up and running. ## Features - Built-in Toner F Connector Cable - LED Flashlight - AA Battery Power - Metal/Insulated Probe Tip - Low Battery Light - Zippered Carrying Case - In Use at Major Cable Operators ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01CJCWRDY | | Batteries Included? | No | | Batteries Required? | No | | Best Sellers Rank | #551,930 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #47 in Flaw Detection Tools | | Brand | Armada Technologies | | Color | Yellow | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (9) | | Date First Available | March 3, 2016 | | Included Components | One tone and probe kit with case | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 1 pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 12 x 6 x 4 inches | | Item model number | Pro220A | | Manufacturer | Standard Plumbing Supply | | Maximum Operating Voltage | 48 Volts | | Measurement Type | Tone Tracing | | Part Number | PRO220A | | Power Source | 4 X Aa (Each) | | Product Dimensions | 12 x 6 x 4 inches | | Specification Met | CE | | Style | Modern | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Armada Technologies - **Color:** Yellow - **Item Weight:** 1 Pounds - **Power Source:** 4 X Aa (Each) - **Style:** Modern ## Images ![Pro220A Advanced AC Filtered CATV Tone and Probe Kit - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714mKz29U1L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can this unit test along the length of the coax cable or only at the end of the cable?** A: You must connect the tone generator to the end. I used the alligator clips. The tone detector will need to be placed on the cable to detect the tone. This was very handy for me. I had a bundle of cables running from the front to back of my building with no way of identifying the correct cable. The detector had to be in contact with the coax cable I was tracing. It did the trick. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have for cable techs *by J***I on September 9, 2025* I’ve been using the Pro220A kit for a couple of weeks now, and it’s become one of those tools I wish I had picked up sooner.
