Review: Product works great!!!! - We previously used a set of power over Ethernet (POE) 1200 AV2 type adapters to provide internet in our workshop which is 400 feet from our house for which the signal had to go through two electrical breaker boxes. This adapter set worked ok, but everytime the shop lights or electrical equipment was used electrical noise disrupted the signal. Due to having issues with receiving WIFI in a studio in our house, we decided to update the current POE to the Nexuslink Wave 2 G.hn Powerline Adapter. After reading all of the reviews associated with 2 G.hn technology it was hoped that this would provide better throughput in our studio and the workshop. Specifically, one adapter is connected in a A/C outlet next to the router in one end of our house, the 2nd is connected at the other end of the house in the studio, and the third is connected in the workshop. Setup was simple. After plugging in one after the other and ensuring each are connected properly, I pushed the security button on the adapter near the router first for 10 seconds, then repeated the process for the other two adapters. The one in the workshop connected instantly with no issues. The one in the studio (in the house) needed for me to once again push the security button on the adapter near the router for 10 seconds again and then repeat the process on the adapter in the studio. It then connected with no issues noted. The throughput in the studio is fantastic! With the wireless adapter the internet speed was slow, but with the Nexuslink GPL-2000PT-kit the speed was obviously faster! The adapter in the workshop is better and have not experienced any signal disruptions yet. However, since the signal has to go through two breaker boxes the connection speed seems to be faster. Lets hope the 2.Ghn technology performs better overall there. I am happy with the units, its an affordable way to get internet to remote areas that are on the same electrical circuit. I recommend these! ## Features - SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE: Experience faster and more reliable internet connections with this powerline ethernet adapter, offering real-world performance improvements over standard powerline technology for seamless streaming and gaming. - ENHANCED VIDEO STREAMING AND CONNECTIVITY: Boost your performance with ethernet over power and LDPC/FEC (Forward Error Correction) technology, ensuring smooth video streaming and reliable internet in high-demand environments like homes, offices, and apartments. - COMPLETE 2-UNIT KIT WITH EASY SETUP: The powerline network adapter kit includes two units for simple plug-and-play installation. My electric bill has not gone up due to using them. **Q: I want to use one in my house and one outside in my barn which is about 80 feet away. Will this product work in that scenario?** A: Theoretically, as long as the electric is fed from the same panel it should work **Q: There are no instructions included; how do you pair them? I followed instructions found online but the link sign won’t turn solid green.** A: Connect to the main router and once it's lit and accepting signal and all lights green, then simply plug the other one in the wall on same electrical system and it should come on like the first one. Then plug into computer. **Q: Do they need to be connected with the same wall circuit (breaker)?** A: No, they do not need to be on the same circuit breaker. Mine are connected with the starting point downstairs in the family room, one circuit, and they connect in bedrooms upstairs which are on different circuits than the family room. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Product works great!!!! *by D***N on 1 October 2022* We previously used a set of power over Ethernet (POE) 1200 AV2 type adapters to provide internet in our workshop which is 400 feet from our house for which the signal had to go through two electrical breaker boxes. Lo malo es que en la misma línea no pueden estar ambos estándares, GH.n pierde conexión frecuentemente. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Low latency but limited bandwidth *by D***. on 30 December 2022* When visiting my parent's house, their wifi is usually fast but it has a lot of latency and packet loss. I wanted a network option that was more reliable for video conferencing. Since I can't run wires through their house, I've experimented with a few different powerline adapters. My goals are a powerline adapter than can deliver at least 20Mbit without packetloss and latency under 10ms. Some notes: * All powerline adapters over promise. "2000 Mbps" doesn't mean you will receive speeds anywhere close to that. * These adapters have a web interface to view their status. By default they come up with 192.168.0.5, but you can change it to dhcp through the web interface. They also will autoconfigure with IPv6 - link local as well as global addresses * The web interface shows a "RX" and "TX" rate. That rate is closer to the rates you actually get * Some power outlets will have a better signal than others for a variety of reasons Screenshot is an example of 100 ICMP pings as well as iperf3 TX and RX tests. The web interface was showing the powerline link rate of Tx=58Mbps, Rx=54Mbps for these locations. The good: * ICMP latency was usually within 1.6ms +/- 1ms, with a max of 6.9ms * bandwidth at the worst signal location was 45Mbit, which meets my needs * bandwidth at the best signal location (same room) was 344Mbit, which is a decent result * It's nice to see IPv6 support in this product. Many competitors haven't bothered * no packet loss so far (testing with ICMP) The mediocre: * bandwidth outside of the same room was all under 100Mbit, which is far under what you might expect from a "2000Mbit" product * I got a refurbished product, the product and packaging were not new. Everything worked ok, so it was just cosmetic. * Its ethernet port is only 1000Mbit, so this product can never reach 2000Mbit in a single direction * Latency goes up when bandwidth is used, but not unreasonably high There's nothing I'd put in the "bad" category, which is why I gave it 4 stars. So far, it's been meeting my needs. ## Frequently Bought Together - Nexuslink Wave 2 G.hn Powerline Ethernet Adapter - Pass-Through Outlet, 2000 Mbps, Ethernet Over Power, Powerline Network Adapter Kit, Fast Streaming - 2 Units Kit (GPL-2000PT-KIT) - Cat 8 Ethernet Cable, 1.5Ft 3Ft 6Ft 10Ft 15Ft 20Ft 30Ft 40Ft 50Ft 60Ft 100Ft Heavy Duty High Speed Internet Network Cable, Professional LAN Cable Shielded in Wall, Indoor&Outdoor - DbillionDa Cat8 Ethernet Cable, Outdoor&Indoor, 6FT Heavy Duty High Speed 26AWG, 2000Mhz with Gold Plated RJ45 Connector, Weatherproof F/FTP UV Resistant for Router, Modem, PC, Gaming --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/648012162-wave-2-g-hn-powerline-ethernet-adapter-pass-through-outlet](https://www.desertcart.be/products/648012162-wave-2-g-hn-powerline-ethernet-adapter-pass-through-outlet) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
