Ok maybe it should keep the sun off but rain is far more likely in this country! I knocked a star off for the creased state the hat arrived in. I was going to buy the branded version of the hat but the price difference made my choice, the quality isn't quite there but for the price I'm very happy.Overall I would buy again

Exactly what I was looking for to keep the sun off me when out walking and in the garden-chose the cream one and am not disappointed.Very generous in cut and of strong material.Went for the largest size and that was just right.You can wear it in different styles with the sides buttoned up and if you wish with the chin strap if it is windy-very versatile.It was postage free and came within 48 hours and the price was very reasonable-excellent value and would buy again.

Although other reviews said sizing was on small side my big head fitted the 60cm size well. Comfortable, great shade from brim, reliable chinstrap.Only problem it was khaki not green. I can live with that.

Arrived the day after ordering, well ahead of prediction A good quality hat. Ordered green but received a cream coloured hat, hence only 4 stars. Will keep anyway as its a good hat and needed for the current heatwave.

Lovely quality. Bought the Large - 59cm size for my husband to wear in the Australian & New Zealand outback. The fit is perfect. The brim is a decent width, to give good protection from the sun for both face & neck. Bought this in the beige, which is exactly as it appears in the photo (a light beige colour). Sturdy, yet light-weight, this hat will be extremely useful and stylish. Oh, and all this for a very reasonable price!

Bought a cream one for myself and green one for my husband. We both find them OK, both quality and look. On my hat, I can see some broken thread on the brim, but it's cream thread on cream hat, doesn't affect the look too much and certainly doesn't affect the function of the hat.

Great hat , nice quality at a great price. Draw cord has nice toggle on it making it very easy to fit comfortably under chin. Colour as described.Additional review - I used this hat on a trip to Ghana and served me well but needed a clean on return. Did this on a light wash in the washing machine and it has to be said it does not wash well at all. The shape is now destroyed and cannot be worn anymore.

Perfect fit (based on size guide), sitting snugly on the head. The neck cord is useful on windy days, being a quality cord with adjustable toggle. I wanted a hat to protect from the sun when gardening, and find the brim suitably broad and stiff (it doesn't flop like my cricket hat). There's plenty of room in the top of the hat to 'store' the cord and toggle if you don't want it dangling around your neck.
