What a frickin' monster. Good grief, the search is on for a boom stand that will support this Godzilla of a microphone.As for how it operates and sounds, there's enough reviews in here to satisfy that. If you watched RL do his show on the dittocam, and if you have a mic processor like a DBX 286S in play, you know how far away from this mic you can be while being physically animated and squirming around and still sound like a million bucks (or over 600 million in his case). If this mic is good enough for the most famous radio announcer of all time, it's certainly good enough for me (even though mine isn't actually gold plated for real like his).With radio being his deep love and passion since childhood, and with unlimited resources to use anything he could ever dream of, if the Shure SM7B was better than this mic, RL would have used it. It's the EV RE20 through which he broadcasted the most famous and most successful radio broadcast of all time.
