The mattress is as described. It does take about 24 hours for it to reach its full thickness after being opened. It is not extremely dense but I have found it to be comfortable for my weight of 150 lbs. I think it might be less comfortable for someone weighing 200 lbs or more. It is definitely more comfortable than the coil spring mattress that came with the sofa. It folds easily into the sofa and rebounds quickly when needed. It does have the odor associated with foam products but this fades after a while. I would give it 5 stars except for the concern that it might be inadequate for heavier adults.

Far, far better than the stock mattress. Don't expect the same support and comfort as an 11" pillow-top, but it is just fine for a few nights or so.No issues closing up the unit, either. Slightly more effort required, but nothing worth complaining about.

This mattress is much better than I expected! We slept on it ourselves. We unfolded it just to test it. We ended up watching TV and fell asleep on it so we accidently slept all night. It is the first time I've ever slept on a sofa mattress and not been bothered by the bar in the middle. Us it just that my dogs sofa is designed differently? I'm not sure, but this mattress is really cozy!

Surprisingly very comfortable. We got an old couch with a fold out bed from my aunt to use in our rec room.. Had to throw away the mattress that was with it because it was so old and torn up. This looked like a good buy and I'm glad I got it. Had three different guests say it was a very comfortable mattress. It fits well on the fold out (just slightly smaller) and it folds up very easily. Nice squishy material. I have a small fold out cushion I put beneath it because the old frame is kind of lumpy, and it all works very well.

Very good! Came quicker than expected, which was fantastic, and my guest was very comfortable! You may need extra padding for less petite sleepers or more than one sleeper. When you move a certain way, you can feel the bar a little, but it's not bad. Massive improvement over the mattress that came with the sofa!!

This is a comfortable mattress for the money. I don't feel springs, but I also have a 3 inch memory foam topper on it. I would recommend! Could be a tad bit more firm.

We bought a sleeper sofa that we loved, but we didn't love the springform mattress that came with it. We swapped if for this memory foam mattress, and it is SO MUCH BETTER! We've hosted two different sets of guests, and we tried it out one night ourselves. It's good! Not as good as a 12-inch thick mattress but really a huge difference from the original mattress, especially for the price!

I have left my sofa bed open for two weeks now, and the chemical smell lingers. I am hoping it goes away by the time my guests arrive. It appears to be quite comfortable, but I will add an underlayer of foam to make sure. It does fold neatly into my sofa, and the couch is more comfortable with the new mattress.
