It's a great pen that feels great in my hands and it has some weight to it which I love the most about it. It writes very well and it doesn't spit out ink everywhere. But the only problem that I have with it is that you need to have an ink syringe to fill the cartridge otherwise it doesn't work like it's supposed to.

Best pen ever! Bought for Father's Day and my husband loveeeeed it! He's into fountain pens and handpicked this out himself and it is way better than he expected it to be!

Most writers would consider this a heavy pen. I think of it as a substantial writing instrument that because of the heft it has, steadies my hand. Mine has an EF nib, which works perfectly for moi.

So far I like it, I’ve only filled it once and I kinda did it the hard way and got a little messy but that was my fault. It writes great and it does have a little scratchy feeling sometimes which doesn’t bother me, but I know some people hate that so just be aware of it.

This pen did not come in the presentation box as most of my other models of the pen did. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. Otherwise, it looks, feels and performs beautifully. The pen was offered at an attractive discount.

My Aurora Epsilon broke - second pen and when I through I could replace the nib part, I simply could not find it. That's when I found this Hongdian D5X Fountain Pen. I was skeptical that such an affordable pen could be as good as the reviews, but the price was right so I tried it. I will affirm the 5 star reviews! I am a fine writer and this nib is responsive and does not blot on the page. I prefer a better paper than a Moleskin notebook, but this pen works very nicely on Moleskin notebook paper, which my other pens do not. As noted, the decorations are really nice. You would think the decorations would be cheap-looking, but really they are very nicely detailed which is pretty amazing at this price! I have a few expensive pens but I do not like using those daily. I will say this one is very just-right and would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you to the vendor!
