89 years old Saket Ram (Kamal Haasan) is on his death bed when he relieves his life's nostalgic memories during pre Independence days. The story moves into history during the partition times, where Saket Ram stays happily with his wife Aparna, but loses her as she is brutally murdered by Muslims. Her death angers Saket and starts he hates Muslims and Mohandas Gandhi and finally decides to assassinate him, but is stopped by his old friend Amjad Ali Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) in the nick of time. Hey Ram beautifully portrays the mental turmoil Saket goes through as he is torn between his conscience and his commitment.

Unmissable movie but print is awful
An unmissable. In today's atmosphere I would wonder if such a movie gets a release. My only complain is with the movie's print.
