I've been using this for last 4 months. It takes two cups of water to cook the eggs completely and not one cup like mentioned in description . The base turns completely brown and it isn't very easy to clean. It does get auto turned off but due to lot of heat, if you leave the eggs unattended after auto off, it stil does get burnt. To cook it properly, use two cups of water and turn off the steamer after 24 mins .

Wright this review after using for about 1 month.Well this is very impressive product. Yes the build quality is low coz it's China product. Wht more u can expect from 300 rs. But I am impressed with it's simple mechanism of boiling eggs. The best part is water consumption to boil eggs. It just take about 25 ml for each cycle of boiling eggs(up to 7 eggs can be boiled in one cycle). Its an huge save on water consumption. Also eggs get boiled in just few min ( about 5 min). My advice is don't remove them imediatly after boiling. Let them set for at least 15 or 20 min post boiling so that the inner egg gets harder. Also don't forget to drill a hole. My advice is use notice board pin to drill. Also kindly note a small quantity of egg might come out of drilled holes. If u are serious about buying a good one u can go with Kent they cost u around 1.3k.

Steamed Eggs taste different from water boiled eggs.. For the fools giving it a 1 star and complaining eggs break, plz make some research before buying egg steamer. You have to make a pin size hole at the top of he egg before steaming.. It allows for pressure release while being steamed and also makes the hard boiled eggs taste different as air enters the egg.. 50ml of water for hard boiled eggs and less for medium or soft.. As far as the product is concerned, it is a chinese product. Spelling mistakes all around the box and manual.. I dont think this will last very long.. Giving it a 4 star because there is no other egg steamer available..

Value for money

A good product for people who like eating eggs often. One can boil up to 7 eggs and it took only 7 mins to get perfectly soft boiled eggs. Only thing against this product is that the measuring cup has markings in Chinese and the instruction manual was not helpful either. Even without the instructions it was easy to understand. For to be buyers, just pour 3/4th cup( provided cup) water for 4-5 eggs and full cup for 7 eggs. For soft boil, 7 mins and 10-12 mins for hard boil. Its not an Auto-off.Amazon shipped this in a break proof package
