Cannot be separated....
I thought we can separate them based on use.... But you cannot....need to buy specific ones for specific number of pins... I would suggest to use male headers as they can be separated....

Was wondering if I should buy the 2 column variety for a Pi but these worked as well when doubled up.- good price, what more can one say about headers- These are standard 2.5mm wide pitch headers- excellent for making hats/modules

I thought they are detachable but they are not so I need to cut the no. of connectors from the row and that damages one to 2 connectors. Otherwise they are good.
