OEM Apple Adapter — Non-Negotiable for Clean Audio
This Apple USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is exactly what it claims to be — minimal, lightweight, and instantly recognized by the device. No setup, no static, no overthinking.I’m using it with my iPad Air M3 to connect my Rode wireless mic for voiceovers and narration. Clean audio in, no feedback, no latency. The build is Apple-standard — tight connection, no wiggle, no cheap plastic finish. As shown in my photos, there’s a noticeable difference in quality between this and third-party cables — especially in weight, fit, and mic stability. When you get a chance to lock in on an Apple product that actually performs, it’s smart not to pass it up.— Curated by Jaded John | #OrderlyCleanDesign

Needed this for new iPhone 16.
I can't wear ear pods, they fall out, especially if I'm jogging or running. I just got a new iPhone with the new plug, so I needed this adapter for my wired earphones. Works well.

Original Apple adapter. What more do I need to say?
This is the original adapter. It just works and it works WELL! Great job Apple ;) Durability is better than the knockoffs and sound quality is superb!

Works as intended
The cable is so thin it worries me it'll break, but they seem to hold up. Apple generally makes quality stuff.

It works
These are perfect for there purpose but I have bought 4-5 because the item always fails at the join. You have to baby it. I am hoping that Apple will make these with the more durable cords that they are now using.

Quality DAC. No static or sound cut-off; great for audiobook and podcast listeners and IEM users.
This might be a little expensive, like most Apple products, but it's the only adapter I've tried that doesn't suck for audiobooks. I wasted time (and $10) on inexpensive Chinese brands (KUXIYAN, OITYEUF) which all had static noise and a poorly designed auto-mute function. The auto-mute in the cheapo DAC is designed to make static less noticeable but it actually cuts off sound at the wrong time. The DAC mutes if the speaker takes a breath for 2 seconds, then it doesn't turn on in time so words seem randomly cut-off. In the last novel I was listening to, this kept happening on new chapters so I had no idea perspectives and locations were changing. That was a terrible experience. This doesn't apply to music which has constant noise in the background. So if you're just listening to music and dont care about minor static then you can just buy a cheapo one.The Apple adapter had NO problems at all. Just plug and play. No more micromanaging bluetooth earbuds(carry a bulky storage case, remember to charge, turn it off in settings if you want to switch device) and I can use my expensive IEMs. I wish I had simply started with this one instead of troubleshooting with different adapters, different phones, etc. It's shorter and thinner than my other adapters but that doesn't matter to me. This is the only time I've ever recommended Apple.

The best choice for your iPhone
If you are thinking about saving a couple of dollars on buying an aftermarket 3.5 adapter for your iPhone, then do not. I have already tried. Although they work, mostly. Some have issues with microphone, on some volume control of your headphones does not work. Buy this original Apple adapter instead. Everything works as it should. The sound quality is the best. If you connect it to your windows laptop, it also works (including volume control buttons). There are three sound profiles supported by this device (CD, DVD and Studio) quality. On the aftermarket adapters I have tried, there is only one - DVD quality.

My backups
Works well. I keep one in the car and another at home with an old pair of wired earphones for times when my rechargeable die.
