I originally bought this about 5 years ago but found it fiddly to use. Then, about 5 months ago, I discovered that the irritation and itching I was getting in my right arm pit, could have been caused by methylisothiazolinone or methylchloroisothiazolinone in the shower gel I was using and or my Old Spice Deodorant which I had been using for years. So I looked on the internet for a possibility of making my own deodorant which does not have these nasties or parabens in them. It was at this point I found a video about making your own using ice Crystal. Then I remembered I had one in the bathroom cabinet.So I found a small spray bottle which I had bought a few years ago. I measured out some distilled water into the bottle and when it was full, poured it into a small jug, I then whirled the crystal stick around in the water for 2 minutes and then poured the liquid back into the spray bottle. Voila! I have enough for about 4 months and the crystal stick is hardly used. This saves a lot of money.
