Rewiring of fixture as simple as tying your shoes! *by P***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 23, 2014* Seeking the efficiency required to maximize my photovoltaic mileage, these bulbs have now replaced the dozen fluorescent bulbs throughout our house (kitchen, garage). Anyone who has shopped for LED fixtures will appreciate the fiscal prudence of buying a $25 LED bulb verses replacing the entire fixture at around $80-$150, and to do so only requiring a smidge of courage to venture into the unknown morass under the cover of a fluorescent light fixture. The instructions are vague and only apply to a specific type of fixture so You-Tube is the place to go for excellent instructions on how to rewire the internal fluorescent fixtures, which is about as complicated as tying one's shoes, no exaggeration. The resulting brightness from the LED bulbs is a welcome change from the constant hum of dirty electricity dropping down on our brain pans that comes from the fluorescent bulbs. This product allows you to retrofit the entire inventory of fluorescent lamps in a home for a very reasonable investment, which will start paying for itself the first hour they run. Think about it mathematically, if I ran my dozen fluorescent bulbs on average a total of 8-hours per day combined, that is 480 kWh per day with fluorescent and 240 kWh with LED, saving 1,680 kWh per week, or 6,720 kWh per month. I don't know the rate per kWh used in each home, but say it is 20¢, multiplied by the number of kWh saved, and one can calculate the payback period for the bulbs. The most important benefit is the elimination of "dirty electricity" (not the same as the dirty %@#$ that owes you money) which can be lethal from exposure at surprisingly small amounts, and a byproduct of fluorescent lightbulbs, but NOT LED. Not to forget the most pressing purpose of using LED, the conservation of energy and reduction of carbon into the atmosphere during the generation of electricity to power those efficient lights. We cannot affect the outcome of global warming directly by using LED as individuals, but if EVERYONE gets on board, collectively we can make a difference! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ two of these !8 watt LED tubes replaced eight 32watt daylight fluorescent and shine brighter *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 9, 2014* I was originally a little worried when i learned that You have to remove the ballasts from the existing fixture before installing the new LED tubes but was really simple. The whole swap out takes about 5 min for each light. I removed eight 32watt daylight fluorescentlights from two fixtures and replaced with one LED tube light in each fixture. WOW 256watts replaced with only 32watts and not only are they the two LED tube lights noticeably brighter but much more pleasing and comfortable to my eyes, especially when using the the computer.
