IL50 Infrared Heat Lamp Heated Red Light Therapy Lamp for Body, Face, Sinuses, & Skin - Effective Muscle Pain & Cold Relief Treatment by Improving Blood Circulation

I grew up in Germany and was used to treating sinus infections, muscle pain, and other ailments with infrared light that provides deep tissue heating. What's typically available here in the U.S., on the other hand, are warm water bottles and warm rice socks, etc., which do not reach the deeper tissue and only warm the outside. Recently, I discovered that Beurer is selling infrared heat lamps through Amazon. Today, I received the IL 50 infrared lamp and tried it out immediately, as I am currently suffering from a sinus infection. It works very well. I also have chronic muscle pain and I am happy that I can use the lamp to improve circulation and warm up the muscle tissue, all of which, in my experience, leads to pain relief and relaxation. As far as functionality is concerned, the lamp has a timer that allows to define the heating time between 1 and 15 minutes in 1 minute increments. Pressing the right hand power button allows you to set the timer (with the left button). Pressing the power button again will start the lamp and let it run for the selected amount of time. This is a very simple, intuitive interface. The handles allow you to adjust the angle of the lamp according to the area you're treating. Again, a very easy, simple design that makes using it very easy. With 300 watts, the lamp provides a good amount of warmth that can be applied to larger areas, such as your back or your legs, too. The user manual and the lamp itself also contain clear and visible warnings not to get too close to the lamp or expose your eyes to it, both of which could lead to injury (see the comments for additional info on eye protection). So far, I am extremely happy with the purchase. My only complaint would be that the smaller model (IL 30), which I might have purchased instead of the larger IL 50, is not available at a comparable price. The IL 50 is priced like the German model (ca. $60), while the small IL 30 costs $58.40 plus $31.58 shipping (but it is available in Germany for 29.99 Euros, ca. $35, with free shipping). That seems unreasonable, but it obviously has no impact on my rating of the IL 50 model.

I bought this almost 2 months ago to aid me in my severe car accident healing quest. I have been in debilitating pain since mid July and it is now Mid Dec. i go to Physical Therapy twice a week and was wanting to do therapy at home because I was desperate for pain relief. I purchased this device end of October and have to say out of everything I do and have bought to help me, this is my favorite. Initially I used it twice a day- way too much because I believe you should not use it more than 20 minutes total each session this the timer—as I moved it from my neck to my shoulder to my upper back, then lower back then right hip- multiple spots and angles as I had multiple fractures in my pelvis on that side. I look a fool using a variety of things to set it on and also to set my body on. I don’t care as it has brought me the most relief. I only use it once a day now - usually in the evenings-and have added the other kind of red light/Infrared body panel to my daily therapy for morning. now I use near and far infrared. This device is still my favorite. I am having incredible results and my Physical Therapist is pleased. I am also beginning to Be able to sleep for short periods of time on my side which has helped me sleep much better. As a bonus, I was pleasantly surprised when my pointer finger returned to it’s normal size a few weeks after using this device on it. The hand specialist told me it was a burst joint fluid sac filling the finger and that there was nothing really we could do as it would just fill up with fluid again if we drained it. It is dried up now!!! I’m not sure if it will heal it all the way as it hasn’t been that long but I’m very pleased to have my finger looking feminine again! Infrared is supposed to aid healing on a cellular level and that is fantastic, because even though I cannot tell what’s going on on the inside, my pain levels are much improved and life feels doable again!!! I have sent one to my Aunt who has rheumatoid arthritis and very bad hands because she loved using mine. I cannot recommend enough and even if mine broke tomorrow, I would not hesitate to try and replace the bulb and if necessary buy a new one!

I absolutely love this IR lamp. I have suffered from Psoriatic Arthritis for 6 years now and no other pain treatment has worked for me even after my weekly injections. I have made it a habit to use this lamp while I am watching my PM show before bed. It helps me sleep through the night without my normal hand pain waking me up and I am only on week 1 of use. It is not super hot as some other reviews noted and it looks perfectly safe. I can put my hand about 6" from the lights without any discomfort and the manual suggests a distance of 12-16" from the skin. I cant wait to try this on my knees and see how it does. Only wish the swivel adjustment allowed the beams to face a lower direction. Other than that I am so glad I found this product.

I have always approached my health holistically. I purchased this Beurer Infrared in 2017 and I still use it! I recently used this on my dog who has mobility issues to help decrease inflammation from arthritis and hip dysplasia. The design of this particular red light therapy makes it easier to maneuver for her and just about anyone in any situation. This unit actually gets a bit hot, so please be aware of that (as most red light therapy does not omit any heat to the touch). Just be mindful to keep a distance and not to touch the screen. This device works very well and like I said, I’ve had it since 2017 and it’s still going strong. This is great when you feel a cold or flu coming on or any symptoms like that. Muscle strains and pain and inflammation. Red light therapy is your best bet. It has a timer of 15 minutes maximum and then it shuts off. Excellent brand I will definitely purchase from them again. Solved my Kidney problems in TWO SESSIONS!! My kidneys gone from bad to worse over the last 6 months. Started with heavily foaming urine due to the kidneys not being able to process protein and dumping it back in the blood supply. Then the fatigue set in causing me to want to sleep more and more and feel like I'm dragging myself through the days. I tried all cranberry juice, hibiscus tea, herbal kidney formulas and other diuretics - nothing made much of a difference. Though high quality Red Korean ginseng extra did give relief as a blood tonic at least temporarily. A couple weeks ago I read an article on Mercola about near medium and far infrared. It said near infrared heat actually caused dramatic improvements in even later stage kidney disease. It was Mercola, not just any internet hype health site, so I started looking on amazon for infrared lamps, etc. None of the user reviews even mentioned it for kidneys, but it got so many raving reviews for other health issues I just bought the thing. When it arrived did the full 15 minute session. I didn't expect to see much improvement for the first month or so at least. But I first noticed a letup in that soreness in the lower back area where you feel the kidney pain. Next I went to the bathroom and the amount of foam seemed to be cut in half! After one 15 minute trial!! Towards the end of the day I tried it again, and NO FOAM whatsoever! And it's stayed that way for the last week. Every time I go I stare in the toilet in disbelief! The awful fatigue is completely gone and all my usual vitality is just there again. It COULDN'T be that easy - but somehow it was. All I can say is if you have kidney problems DEFINITELY try infrared saunas, lamps or the Beurer. I've NEVER had such a serious health problem get solved so quickly and easily nor even thought it was possible. For kidney issues I can't recommend this highly enough!

I loved this lamp for the week that it worked. It REALLY WORKS to relieve back pain - until it stops working. Just like any light bulb, the bulb will eventually fail, requiring replacement, some bulbs sooner, some bulbs later. I contacted Beurer about the "lifetime" warranty, and to see if a replacement bulb was available, as YOU WOULD THINK you could just replace the bulb yourself when it burns out. NOT SO! REPLACEMENT BULBS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM BEURER. If your bulb burns out after the 30 day return window, YOU MUST SHIP THE UNIT TO BEURER AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE AND ALSO PAY THE RETURN SHIPPING!! So for me to ship both ways from Arizona to Beurer in Florida and back is $44 via UPS Ground. So, if you really want to use this for daily therapy you will NEED TO PURCHASE TWO UNITS, and be OK with paying Shipping to and from Beurer ($44 +-) when the bulb periodically needs replacement. So perhaps first year cost $65+$65+44=$174. STILL IS LESS THAN 50 CENTS A DAY - Likely cheaper and better than prescription drugs. Beurer Customer Service wrote: "This Beurer product is warrantied to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own the unit. Please note that the written warranty does not cover the shipping costs. We will be happy to replace the bulb for you free of charge, you will only be responsible for the shipping costs for both directions. I regret to inform you that we do not sell the light bulb for the model IL 50 infrared heat lamp through a third party vendor. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter. Please note that any attempt by the consumer to repair the unit or if to open the unit will effectively void the written warranty. " So - Its good - until its not. Then $44 bucks + - to replace the bulb and maybe 2 weeks without the unit while in transit and being repaired? SO the question is - How special is the Beurer bulb and can a third party bulb be purchased? The bulb needed is FSL 1512 made by Feng Shui Lighting in China. I suffer from chronic muscle pain in my back neck and arm from working on computers for long hours. I've bought a lot of gadgets over the years to try to help with this. On my list I have rollers, floss bands, massage device, EMS unit, a lot of ice packs and one of those things that hang you upside down. Recently I went on a 16 mile hike and the next day I was crippled. Had to see the doctor and got a bunch of anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants and a steroid shot to relieve the pain so I could last the day at work. I probably should have just gone home and skipped the shot. I found this device while, once again trying to find something to help heal my body so I didn't have to take all the meds. I burned myself pretty bad when my elbow accidentally brushed against front glass surface after it turned off. I put it on one of those TV dinner tray things and on top of a box so that the height is parallel to my bed. This allows me to lay with my back or neck to it. It has been a huge help for me but the most amazing thing of all, it brought the biggest smile to my teenagers face when she used it on her injured knee.
