Good value
Good value and easy to use with steel bar or wooden shaft of various sizes. Holds a regular pencil, but nothing larger. (Wish it would hold a fine point Sharpie, but it doesn’t)

Works fine. Worth the money.
Work well. Came improperly assembled, but then again General Tools isn't known for being high quality. Has all the necessary qualities of a decent trammel set: The points are asymmetrically ground for fine tuning your distance. The thumb screws have a spring in between them and the small clamp that holds the point down to provide pressure until you lock them in place. And all thumb screws move smoothly.

Work well, but hard to fit pencil
The styluses are not as thick as regular pencils, therefore, trying to get a pencil to fit in one clamp when you want to trace a circle is a bit hard. Otherwise, these work very well.

Great device
excellent tool for very large circles and arcs

Good unless you drop them
Dulled the point on one of them by dropping it about 6 inches. Sharpened it again and now it goes dull just scratching a mark in my dye.

The trammel can be used with a pencil.
The only limit to the size circle that can be made is the length of the beam you provide. My only criticism is that the point diameter is smaller than a pencil. I usually use it with a pencil and one point. I remove the nut that holds the point being careful not to remove the cap and the spring under it and then firmly push a wood pencil in it’s place. It might be better to sand the pencil so it fits more easily. When replacing the nut I turn it over so more threads will catch more firmly. The beam dimensions can vary. I use 3/4” x (3/4” - 1 1/2”) x whatever length you need. A 26” beam will allow a 4’ diameter circle.

Poorly made, do not hold the scribe point firmly, most pencils don't fit either. $35? NOPE
The media could not be loaded. Form follows function right? These LOOK like they are well made castings, with grooves and flats and black finished steel, etc. However, the critical dimensions are simply non-functional. The screw is too short and the nut does not have threads all the way through it. One trammel can tighten on the scribe, the other cannot. The scribe is loose and slides and rolls. (See video) There is no "straightforward" fix for this, nothing can be filed to fit, etc. and that would damage the gray paint anyway. They are supposed to be able to fit a standard pencil. I have a drawer her with ~100 of them. Most do not fit in at all, a few can be forced in and it scraped off the lacquer on the pencil end. (See photo)The nut not having threads all the way through is sad. Loosening to open it up to get a pencil in, means you have 1 turn of thread engagement. Which means eventually you will drop the parts and loose the spring or nut, etc. One person said they turned the nut over, OK that is a fix. but really?Tools that are annoying everytime you use them? Take up valuble time and headspace. I will be buying the similar item shown here. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GWDS4Q8?psc=1&smid=A1F0ZX9W2WURWY&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp At least it can hold a pencil.I also did not like the "adjustable" part of the scribe, meaning the points are off center. I realize that is a "feature". I need this tool with long trammel points to measure some distances and being on center is better. I can make my own on center, or off center trammel points because I have a lathe, but having two centered points and one with the offset would be better.General makes tools that are pretty straightforward, and I have some of their other tools, so I was surprised that these perform so poorly.
