Trend T11 & T14 Jig and Table Quick Release Kit for Fast Setup

I was lucky enough to have received a Trend T11 for Christmas. The router has a machined base which allows this adaptor kit to clamp it underneath a router table. The kit comes with good instructions and a template for marking the table insert. This kit allows you to mount and demount the router in seconds. Very useful if you us the router in table and handheld.

This product is great for lining up your router in it's plate just bear in mind that you will have to fix your router to its plate with the screws that come with this product is you don't the rowden becomes police and can cause issues with kickback or breaking a a router cutter when fitting these clips to router base I did have to spend some time filing down the router base so the clips would fit in in easily and nicely just two things to bear in mind when you are purchasing this product that it is a breeze to remove your router from it inverted position and reposition it with ease

I found these very useful. They work well and seem,quite sturdy.

Bizarrely, the hole position diagram which was provided along with the instructions for this kit wasn't accurate, because it was not printed to scale! There was a warning about this in small text, but basically one has to find it online and print at 100%. I was fairly annoyed to discover this, having spent money on a new insert plate, and time on drilling the various holes, as I will need repeat the process with another insert plate.

Nothing to dislike about this product. I was looking for this kit to fit my Trend T8 but was having trouble finding one. This product is listed by Amazon for a T11 and T14 which is confirmed by the packaging when it arrived. It wasn't until I looked at the Trend website when I noticed their description for the same product now includes a T8 reference. I took a chance and purchased it - wasn't disappointed, it works well. With a little bit of carpentry, I now have a router table built into my Bosch Table saw.

These are very useful for lining up the router in the plate but are not intended to hold the router. The screws MUST be used to secure the router to the plate, think of these as alignment only, otherwise you might end up with a 10 kg router doing a 29000 rpm jiggle around your workshop with the equivalent of a Japanese samurai sword trying to get you attention.

Great upgrade to the the T14. Makes switching from table to hand held very easy and quick.

First the good points ,its fairly easy to fit ,and you can certainly release the router from the table quickly. Unfortunately problems begin when you try to put it back on the table ,quick it most definitely is not.trying to realign the router using the quick release clamps is extremely difficult. Found it particularly hard to align back up as if you are even a tiny bit out it simply won't attach .The routers this is ment for are quite heavy adding to the difficulties of putting it back on.even using a small jack plate to hold the router ,which at least took the strain off it was still difficult You can however take out your router plate turn it over and fit it back on that way which is easy but you have to unscrew the router plate from the router table and that surely defeats the purpose of it being quick and easy. On reading the instructions its advice into screw the router on as well if doing long work or using large router bits, so once again not quick. I would advise any one buying this thinking that they can swap their router in and out in a couple of minutes to seriously think twice. Taking the cost into account I really dont think its worth the money as dosnt really do what I thought it would with out a tremendous amount of messing around time and effort
