This one isn't the worst I've used, but it also isn't my favorite either. The "child mode" doesn't do anything for me. The "adult mode" does, but it gets WAY too hot! I can't use it for the entire 6 seconds that the adult mode runs for. (How about an intermediate temperature setting people?!?!?) And this one just isn't as refined as it could be either. Like the on-off switch... it doesn't say "on" or "off". How hard would it be to print that on the casing? And a long press is required to go into adult mode (child is set default). But after you turn it off, it reverts back to child mode again. It would be nice if it stayed on what you set it on. Maybe that's a safety issue I don't know... it keeps you from accidentally zapping your kid with the hot setting I guess. Although as long as you aren't colorblind, you should know which is which just by the LED ring. Anyway, this one does work. I will keep it as a back-up to the other one I use on regular occasion. I'll probably cry if / when it dies. :P ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Some instructions that could actually be understood would be nice *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2024* What the point of translating instructions into English if they still make no sense? There is no point. Yet, that's what I see on 90% of instructions nowadays, despite the fact that AI exists and could do a better job. Once you admit defeat and realize that you have to figure out to work this thing yourself, then you'll see that you turn it on, line up the zapper, press the big button, and then it starts and runs for a predetermined amount of time and then beeps and shuts itself off. It's a bit uncomfortable at its hottest, but it's pointless if you don't let it get to that level. Also, it does come with batteries installed, but the dang things have plastic wrap on them, so you have to take them out, remove the plastic, and put them back in. Anyone not paying close attention (I'm raising my hand) wouldn't realize that and would think the zapper just wasn't working properly or that the batteries were dead. I discovered it when I went to change the batteries because I thought I just had duds in mine. Finally, does it work? It does help relieve the itching, so all these other downsides make it worth it in the end. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Seems like decent product *by E***G on Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2024* Once you figure it out, it isn't a bad product. Figuring out which way to move the switch based on what you need is a little tricky. It does come with batteries which is a plus but it would be nice if this was a rechargable type item so you don't have to constantly buy batteries for it. It works about the same as most other products like this. It doesn't immediately stop itching but it does help reduce it.
