Amazing! Fully adjustable WRGB + UV with Bluetooth
The future is here. Look at the specs vs any other led aquarium bar light. This is comparable to any top dollar light like chihiros, Netlea, or Week Aqua. It blows them out of the water in $ value when comparing par wattage, customization options, and blue tooth support. Finally, you can get competition grade quality performance for your high tech aquascaping at less than half the price of big name brands! You know how tanks with a chihirros or Week Aqua light just “look better” in pics and in person? How the plants are ridiculously colored almost to the point of looking like it’s a filtered photo? It’s because Hygger and other mid grade brands skimp on the rgb aspect and out of top brands only week Aqua uses UV lights. They make a huge difference because while a lot of budget lights have comparable wattage when comparing white leds, you can’t use those day to day without algal blooms. With the Mag you can go low on the white light and configure the rgb to make your tank pop without looking washed out or yellow. My only concerns are it’s not highly water resistant and it’s got a plastic housing that’s a bit chintzy, NBD though, performance is what counts and that’s what you get.I’ll update in a month or if anything fails or breaks, just buy the light, trust!UPDATEdisclamer: I did add a few plants but you can still see the growth of original plantsWell it hasn’t even been a month but the growth is outstanding compared to my previous light. The ability to fine tune the white light by a factor of 1% is a game changer. I’ve also gotten it pretty wet and haven’t experienced any issues. I liked this light so much I bought another for my big tank. Now I see how people grow thick carpet foreground plants with less algae problems, with a great light! Still on the hype train for this amazingly affordable light.

Killer light for the price! EDIT: Not anymore!
UPDATE: I ordered another light as I was pretty pleased with the first one and my experience couldn't have been the complete opposite. The seller reached out to me being very helpful and kept encouraging me to leave a 5 star review. However the second light came packaged very poorly, basically just bouncing around in a box with no packaging materials. I opened it and found it was damaged and one of the grommets was installed incorrectly, that wasn't from shipping damages but was a manufacturing error as the hole itself was totally off-centered. However the main issue was the light was completely dead out of the box. I contacted the seller and had to wait almost a week for a reply, finally they said they'll send me another one and blamed Amazon themselves for the lack of packaging. Well over a week later I get the light and not only did it still have ZERO packaging materials, they sent me a completely different light that wasn't even close to the right size. Contacted the company again and waited over a week with no reply, just ghosted me. That's frankly extremely concerning that not only they didn't fix any of the problems, they completely just disappeared once they got my money. One big concern I have is the app and whether they will continue to support it. When I first wrote this review the app seemed "okay" but after owning the first light for a few months it's really not great. Sometimes it freezes up, sometimes it won't connect to the light and I have to restart, and sometimes it won't apply my settings the first time. I was planning on replacing several of my lights with the MagTools but that's not happening anymore. Stick to proven brands like Hygger or Nicrew if you want reliability.Original review below:First off, there's literally no other light anywhere near this price range that supports Bluetooth control AND spectrum control. The ability to change the individual red, blue, and green color channels is super important to me as I find a lot of lights (cough Hyggers) either too blue or too yellow for my tastes. This light doesn't have that problem as I can adjust the spectrum however I want. App is decent, about on par with most other apps I've used. EDIT: App isn't decent, read above. One thing that puts this light over even the Fluval 3.0s is that if the power flickers on and off the light doesn't lose it's settings which is awesome.Build quality is pretty good for the price, it definitely doesn't feel as nice as a Chihiros but it's also significantly cheaper. It's quite bright as well, more than bright enough for any low tech tank and you could even use it on a high tech tank, although I'd recommend buying 2 if you have a tall tank and want to run co2. I run it at 60% and it's plenty for my tank. EDIT: Over time I've realized the build quality is actually quite poor unfortunately. I was trying to adjust one of the legs and it cracked without putting much pressure.

A lot of bang for your buck
I bought this light to try out for a shrimp breeding tank that's heavily planted, and I liked it a lot so I bought another. First off the price is great! If you buy a light like this from a name brand like Chihiros, or Twinstar, and you want an app that you can program the day and night cycle with it, be prepared to pay $100 minimum for a light of the same size with similar output. Second, the output is great. I had some micranthemum cuba in this tank as an experiment and it's doing just fine. Typically this plant needs a lot of light and CO2 or it just melts. The app is a little awkward, but it works. When you first buy the light, make sure to reset the factory light clock setting, because it is set to Chinese time, (i.e. 12 hours earlier or later than U.S. time), but this is actually a positive because it remembers when it is supposed to be on even if the power goes off and it can't connect to the app if you're out of town. The little feet that stand over the tank are just ok, but at least it sits over the tank, and not level with the top so you can get your hands in and do maintenance.Pros: Price, can't beat it!Great output, especially for the price!App control, huge plus.Cons: App is a little hard to program, hopefully the software get's some kind of update in the future. The feet are ok, just ok, a little hard to adjust.Overall you can't beat it for the price, if you want a name brand of similar quality prepare to pay 3 times as much.

Hot trash
The media could not be loaded. Two lights were purchased at the same time. They both started to slowly flash within about a month. Now they flicker like a strobe light. Terrible product.

Light is great! Power adapters not so much....
Got the 18 to 24 aka smallest size for my 10 gallon and the power adapter would get super hot and the light would turn of and on when it overheated. Luckily these use standard 24v led power supplies and I had a bigger 3 amp one that drives the light perfectly and doesn't get hot and shut off.Search amazon for btf 24v led power supplies they have ones that work with lights that draw 1 to 4 amps up to 96 watts. The ones the lights come with are under powered.
