The CD is Great; The DVD is Painful to Watch
I have just about everything Motorhead has produced over the years. Most of it has been great, but there are a few duds from time to time. This is not even close to being a dud. I've had this disc in my player for about two weeks and I play it at least twice a day. It sounds fresh and vital, and contrary to what some others have said, I do think this is CLASSIC, high-grade Motorhead. Actually the last few albums have been impressive. Lemmy must be hooking up with some hot new muse.Do not buy this thinking that the DVD is an added plus. Man, the audience looks totally dead here. This show was in northern Germany ("Wacken"--they have an annual festival) and I'll never think of the German people in the same way again. I thought the kids from this part of Europe were weaned directly from their mother's busom straight to Motorhead, Metallica and quality pilsner, but apparently not. These troubled youth look gone, absent, vacant. Lemmy and the guys are dealing out major blows of metal thunder, and these lethargic weasels are basically just standing there in a dull stupor. Did the vendors run out of popcorn or something? It hurts to watch, and in my mind it was totally disrespectful to this legendary institution. I understand, if the vibe isn't there, or if you don't feel it, then there's no obligation to applaud or engage. But Lemmy et al. are in maniacal form here. And, the crowd could obviously tell they were filming the concert; even that didn't motivate them.I personally found the music rousing. My wife and children formed a mosh pit and tried to throw me around but I fended them off with hot pizza. My neighbors called the police because I was playing this so loud and when the cops arrived they issued me a stern warning only AFTER they turned up the volume even louder and played air guitar with Lemmy and the lads for 20 minutes. They told me they would have tazed and pepper-sprayed the audience for Motorhead insubordination had they been there live in "Wacken."I suspect what happened there in "Wacken" was that there was a long wait before the show started and the folks were tired and sulking. Even Leni Riefenstahl couldn't have choreographed vitality into these brooding people. But, achtung!!, friends, Lemmy is in the building and the party has now begun; start to live a little for goodness sakes! You have a reputation to maintain. The Jetta didn't invent itself.I'm now not going to buy that BMW touring K-bike I was pondering; it's off the list of possibles; I'm going Yamaha, or maybe even Vespa! as the ultimate act of protest against Germanic insolence. The Japanese and the Italians understand passion for deserving bands. The whole "German excellence" vibe is ruined for me after seeing acres of passive Bavarians mope ("Wacken"-off, so to speak) like Ritalin zombies in front of Lemmy & Co..

Another Great Rockin' Album!
This album has at least several great rockin' songs on it! Fun for the whole family. You should get this album since its one of the best. "Brotherhood of Man" is the ultimate rock/metal song there is and its so much addictive! Will be using it for whatever days of daily consumption since I eat a lot. There is some other good ones too like "Devils In My Head" which seems like just another hit. And much more. There's a string of series of hits on this title., but it ends soon after: "Brotherhood... .

NEW MOTORHEAD FAN
First let me repent. Ive never really wanted to be a Motorhead fan. I always thought them not to be my cup of tea and always found better music to spend my money on. Ive been so wrong and it has taken me this 54 years yes 54 years to catch on. Motorhead belongs and I after diving in and buying Overkill and Rock and Roll I bought this one. I love this CD. I just got home from a bad day at work ripped open my new CD and just rocked and also laughed thats right. With lyrics like " good things come to those who wait but today most thing just suck " well yeah. This music is for the old and the young. Like most of Motorhead its just straight ahead in your face rock and roll. Best of all it reminds me of early rock n roll, and we all wondered where that went? Well thanks Lemmie and Motorhead for never conforming never conceding and just bringing us some good ole rock and roll. I hope that those like me dive into unknown waters and emerse into this band and especially this cd. Doesnt matter if your old like me or young and looking for some good tunes, this one beats the crap out of 98% of whats out there right now including whats that band ? oh yeah Metallica. lol Come oh buy this one and just give it a listen and then if your not smitten on Motorhead well I dont know what to tell ya ! Im gonna listen to my The World is Yours again and open a cold one, maybe a Jack n Coke to Lemmie. CHEERS FELLOW ROCKERS !

Much like the other Motorhead CDs from the same period.
This CD is a lot of fun for those that enjoy hard rock and Motorhead especially. It is much like the other CDs from Motorhead that were released around the same time. It isn't quite as good as Hammered or Inferno, but if you like Motorhead you'll like this one too.

Motorhead - The World Is Theirs
The new album from Motorhead delivers just exactly what fans of the band expect. Heavy rock n roll (not necessarily metal), delivered in a fast paced somewhat throwback style, that just plain rocks. Motorhead have been on a bit of a comeback lately since 2004's excellent "Inferno" album. Lemmy is 65 (not sure how old the other two guys are, but they are no spring chickens) and shows absolutely no sign of slowing down. This album is chock full of songs that are actually kind of catchy. Lemmy's growl is as course as ever and he even gets close to modern death metal vocal territory on "Brotherhood Of Man". Phil pulls out some great guitar solos and Mickey is rock solid on drums. Highlight tracks include "I Know When To Die", "Devil's In My Head", "Rock N Roll Music", the single "Get Back In Line" and the closing pearl of wisdom from Lemmy "Bye Bye Bitch Bye Bye". Ya gotta love it!

Another Great Motorhead Record
Listening this new Motorhead record, I can only thank for keeping on the road and studio groups like this. Motorhead gets better with time. This record has a lot of energy, great songs, the world is yours is more melodic tham Motorizer adn I like it more the more i listen to it. Born to lose is the opening track and an instant classic. Every song is great but my favourites are: Rock and roll music (not the Ch Berry song), Bye Bye Bitch Bye Bye, Outlaw. Brotherhood of man is darker in the style of Orgasmatron. If you're fan of Motorhead, go ahead and buy it, you won't be disappointed. If you are new to Motorhead, and you like classic heavy metal, I think this is a good point to start getting into Motor-world. I can't wait for their next album.

Long Live Motorhead!
Following on from the excellent 'Motorizer' (2008) album Motorhead released this record a few years back to once again rock loud and fast leaving our heads in a spin! The album opens in typical Motorhead fashion with the frenetic 'Born to lose' that sets the standard for the rest of the album, fast heavy riffs, good drumming and a superb solo by Phil Campbell (his solos are great on this album). There isn't a bad track on the album, all good songs but my favourite song is the apocolyptic 'Brotherhood of man' that to my ears sounds like 'March or die' sped up (also similar to Orgasmatron) where Lemmy growls about the dark side of humanity where we are "worse than animals" and that "we kill for money, wealth and lust, for this we should be damned. We are the disease upon the world, Brotherhood of man". I also love 'Devils in my head' and 'Outlaw' which conjured up images of the wild west in america, with its saloon bars, brothels, pimps and gunslingers. The album closes with the fast paced 'bye bye bitch bye bye' which sounds similar to 'rock n roll music' in that they both could have been released in the 1970s with their Quo (and ZZ top) type riffs. Interestingly the single they used to promote the album was the up tempo punk rocker 'Get back in line' which might be my least favourite track on the album. So a superb album then! Although I haven't yet heard the entire discography of Motorhead I can't comment on where it places out of them all, but I do think that this is definately one of their recent best. And with their new album 'Aftershock' only days away it's time for celebration and some head banging! Long live Motorhead!

The World is Motörheads...
This is possibly one of the jewels in the Motörhead crown, hard hitting, in places melodic and soulful, a true tour de force of the musicality of Lemmy and co. And at this price, worth every penny! Definitely happy!
