The soft grip stops you from getting rope burns, short leash makes it easy to control and the mountain rope works wonders for dogs that pull because it won't snap on you. I've never had such a fun time walking my baby boy then I do now. Just get the no pull harness and you're set! Definitely would recommend to anyone!

The description is "heavy duty" and that's no joke. My poor little 13-pound Yorkie is loaded down but the mini-schnauzer, who has been setting the Yorkie free for 4 years by biting instantly through her leashes (including leather ones), will never do it again. It's a really nice leash, extra long, and the handle is the most comfortable I've encountered. I am pleased. The Yorkie on the other hand is, well, unimpressed.

As a dog walker, I work with dogs of all sizes and this ended up being a perfect fit for me and the dogs I walk. I love the soft padding around the handle, it makes it much easier to handle bigger dogs when they pull and I love the design of the leash itself being round and made out of the material that it is opposed to the flat nylon leashes that can be a bit painful to hold onto when trying to control bigger dogs. Plus, it's reflective material makes for safer walks at night.

The leash is very well-made and has a little bit of stretch to it, just like a climbing rope should. You'll appreciate this if your dog pulls or lunges. Our 40 lb. border collie husky puppy is a strong puller and this leash takes some of the strain off my shoulder when he pulls. The little bit of stretch and thick handle has prevented him from pulling the leash out of my hand a couple of times. The rope material also gives your dog a tiny bit of leeway if you're training with a self-correction or pinch collar. The thickness of the handle and leash may take some getting used to if you're currently using a thinner lead with your dog. After a couple months of use, I've found that I have more control and better steering with the rope leash. The over-sized clasp is strong and easy to use. The padded grip is comfortable, but can be a little cumbersome when wearing gloves. We removed the waste bag holder, since it gets in the way when holding the leash. Our dog has put the leash in his mouth many times and we've only noticed one small nick in the material. Not enough to be worrisome, but something to keep an eye on. The reflective strip is nice if you walk at night. We use this leash with a pinch collar during training sessions and a harness for walking. We prefer this rope leash over his old, leather leash.

I really do like the leash. It's sturdy but lightweight as well. The attached ring for the waste bad dispenser is awesome because more than once I got away from the house without those. It's good to not have to worry about. The only small issue was that the black cord cover at the collar end of the leash slips off and has to be snugged back on occasionally. It doesn't affect the use of the leash, just an annoying thing. Thank you for a good product!

This leash is absolutely toxic! As soon as I removed it from the package I smelled a very strong chemical odor. There was a gooey substance that got on my hand which I guess is an adhesive (don't understand why it wouldn't be dry) coming out of the rubber at the base of the loop. I have washed my hands several times & still cannot get the smell off. This is ridiculous. This item should not be sold and the only reason I can think of for the 5 star reviews is the "free leash" offer in the package. The package will be on my back porch tonight because there's no way that toxic crap is staying inside my home. Amazon needs to do something about this.

One would think that this lead would be to long or strong for a Maltipoo..Not mine,she's so strong outside during our walks , especially when she sees anything with "Wheels"Or other dogs ...Or kids running past her ...Well with this leash she doesn't have the enormous power over me to pull me down the street ...I have the power over her to keep her from pulling me or literally twisting her leash ...This leash doesn't twist !!!I love it ,and the handle is like a Neosporin type easy on the hands ...I'm going to purchase another one as a backup...I highly recommend this for anyone who has a puller of a dog ...Above all it was fast delivery & left between the screen door and front door..Out of sight from the street ..Great Purchase

TOOZEY 5 ft. dog leashWe have a 30 kg., moderately pixilated pooch. She's a nice girl, but she doesn't like white dogs, brown curly haired dogs, runners, cyclists, baby strollers....well, I hope you get the idea (but she really is a nice girl!). As a result, she does her share of barking and lunging while perambulating around the neighbourhood. To avoid injury and related law suits we trust this under $10 leash. So far, so good! The line is robust and reflective and the handle is padded and very comfortable. The clip is adequate. However, if The Creature weighed any more or lunged with greater force, I'd be looking for something stronger. Also, the part of this leash that looks like black wrapping near the clip and at the bottom of the handle is actually a small cup made of thin plastic. It slides up and down on the line rather than remaining in place. Not a big deal, but because of that and the modest clip hardware, one rating star is taken off. Still, HIPPO recommends.

its very nice looking leash, but i would not trust it. if your dogs are very will behaved and do everything perfect it may make you feel save with it. will i have worked with and loved and owned large dogs most of my life. the issue is the ''CLASP'', its undersized and it seems weak to me. if you have a little lap dog or purse dog it will do will, maybe.

I really like this leash, I like that it has a bit of a stretch so when my dog pulls on it, it doesn’t tighten right away, it’s better for his neck with his collar. But the black pieces that cover where the rope bends together came loose in the first 5 minutes of using and were sliding around the leash. I had to super glue them back to where they were suppose to be. But other than that it’s great and I like that it comes with a bag dispenser.

Product is sturdy and good quality but my puppy thought it was a pull toy from the start. Tried it for a week and he keep biting at it and pulling with his teeth. Switched to leather leash and this behaviour stopped immediately.If not worried about dog confusing it, then this is a good purchase.
