I was concerned about buying this given the low price, but decided to go ahead based on the reviews.I am menopausal and suffering from night flushes which regularly wake me up. I had a large cooling unit in my room, but I had to have it on full blast which meant that between flushes I was getting too cold and waking up because of that. Therefore, I thought a smaller unit might be better.I used distilled water in this to avoid limescale clogging the filter. It is absolutely simple to use - you just need a USB plug and you lift up the lid of the water compartment, fill it with water, leave it to soak for a few minutes, and away you go.My first impression was terrible. I had my hand right up next to the cooler and all I could feel was like somebody exhaling through pursed lips. This went on for about 20 minutes, by which time I had decided I would send the product back to Amazon the following day.However, after 20 minutes, things started to change. Having carefully adjusted the vent to the perfect position (directly on to my head), I realised that although you could not feel cold air if you put your hand close to the unit, there was definitely cold air coming out further away. I went to the loo about an hour after starting the unit, and when I returned to my bedroom it was noticeably cooler than before.The longer the unit was on (just on the lowest setting), the cooler the room became. It is not as cold as with a full size AC - obviously - but definitely a few degrees below what it usually is, and certainly enough for me to be comfortable and not feel like I was being microwaved at various points during the night, which is my usual experience. The fan is not so strong that your hair is blown around or you feel like you are in a freezer. It is just comfortably cool and fresh feeling.For the money this is a really good little unit. It isn't going to change your life, but it does work more efficiently than a normal fan, which just recirculates hot air. Bearing in mind a full size AC will cost about £300 and make a ton of noise, this is definitely worth buying if you just want to literally keep a cool head!

This Cooler works, but only after i'd fix the leak. All praise be to Jayarr - for his excellent guide. ;))In most cases I imagine this works straight out the box with no mods, however due to the way it was assembled or transported, some of you may experiance 'the leak'. If only the retailers had corrected this minor fault before shipping. The design itself seems sound.This devices features an ingenious floatation valve which is designed to regulate the amount of water which flows to the shallow tray into which the paper filter sits. Without this special float valve, all the water poured into the side reservoir would would flow straight out again.To access and fix the valve, you must first remove the front grill, this has a simple latch mechanism to remove. You then remove the filter assembly. The float valve is the white plastic rectangle you'll see under a black plastic hood. The 'hood' limits how high the float can go. To get at the float, look for a part of the black plastic 'hood' which clips to the side nearest the reservoir.Now for the tricky bit. The float has a light rubber cone which needs to be inside a corresponding hole to work. Use a pencil or pen to gently work this rubber cone into the hole. Turning it 360 helps. Don't damage the cone. Make sure that rubber valve is totally inside the hole before reassembling.The tray which holds the water for the filter is shallow, about an inch deep and so naturally you can still spill water if you don't handle the device with care and keep it level. The cooler has three fan speeds, on the highest setting the reservoir will last about 3 hours. Also the cooler the water, the better the effect, so i have a container of water in the fridge to refill.Aside from that initial leak, this device works great and is very functional.Followup:Its now a couple of months later and i've discovered a bug with this device, literally.The light on this device will attracts flying critters which can get sucked in through the fan. If you are unlucky they end up floating in the tray and eventually blocking the water into the tray. The same is true if you don't use clean water to fill the reservoir.The solution is to disassemble the unit, as before, and then use a straw or the barrel of a biro to blow into the hole. Reassemble the unit as before. The next version of this device should include filters to allow for these pesky bugs. ;)

I have just started to use this and it's not bad at all.It means it about not tilting it and only us on a very flat surface or it will leak a lot. It works(I think) by using an absorbent filter that pull up the water from a tray, this is why you can not tilt it. The fan then blows air into the damp filter cooling the air. It may also filler the air a bit too. I don't think there is a compressor so it a bit better to the environment then running an proper air con unit.The unit very self contained I have run it for 2 hours and it's not gotten warm and it's still blowing cool air. I am going to experiment with ice water tonight to see if that help.On the whole a great idea that works and for the money it's great.

price abit high but great kept me cool in the heat and great at night to sleep.people complain it leaks water well this is only if you move it when using it due to tray that holds water to cool you.if you fill it up and use it in one place no problem.it needs the water trap so it can soak up the filter to cool you.it is portable but once you fill with water or ice dont move it or it will leak?

The make of it is flimsy. The opening and closing flaps twist up and fall out and don’t sit nearly together as they should. Slightest breeze upsets them.It’s ok sat face on. Doesn’t cool a room unless room is 1m by 1m.And as for portable, by all means move it but make sure the water is removed first. Even slightest movement along the desk tips the water out.Great idea but rubbish design

Got this for a vehicle with no aircon just before the heatwave. Used it in our bedroom instead - marvellous!Tried it moving, it leaked and died.Don't use it in a moving vehicle!!!Excellent for static work.

I did not get the wall plug or instruction manual.Would like these sending out to me if possible.

J’ecris rarement des commentaires mais là il me semblait important de le faire pour éviter que d’autres personnes ne tombent dans le piège. Vous aurez beau remplir le réservoir d’eau glacée accompagnée ou non de glaçons, cet appareil ne refroidit pas un seul m2 ! Et je ne vous parle pas du bruit en fonctionnement...... Je considère ce produit comme une arnaque !

Ne fait que fuire de partout dès la première utilisation. C’est juste un gadget qui ne fonctionne pas .Je le renvoi

L'appareil peut être génial lorsqu'il marche. Ici il a marché du 28 mai au 31 mai.Je vais le retourner mais je désire un échange car cela doit être très pratique lorsqu'il marche

Ottimo prodotto! Certo non pensate d'avere un condizionatore d'aria, ma questo prodotto sicuramente fa più di un ventilatore.Bisogna tenerlo vicino e rinfresca l'aria circostante. Assolutamente non rinfresca una stanza (la mia è 16mt q.).Però posso dire che mi sta salvando dal caldo e mi fa dormire la notte. Consigliato

ne rafraichit qu'à peine si on l'a face à soi; il ne faut pas espérer rafraichir l'air même d'une petite pièce. Doit être posé sur une surface plane, et ne surtout pas bouger ,sinon l'eau déborde . Il y a bien 3 réglages, mais honnêtement , il n'y en a qu'un d'utile, le plus puissant. Je regrette vraiment cet achat, pour moi c'est de l'argent foutu en l'air. J'avais vu quelques avis positifs qui m'avaient tout de même convaincue, mais franchement, n'y prêtez pas attention, à 38.99€ , c'est vraiment du gâchis . D'ailleurs vous trouverez exactement le même sur wish à quelques euros, et je trouve qu'il ne vaut pas du tout le prix que je l'ai acheté.

Bonjour,celui que j'ai reçu est une pale copie de ce que l'on voit dans les pub, avec plein de défaut par rapport au pub, et surtout ne refroidis rien du tout.Par contre je félicite le revendeur "abbysonline" par sa rapidité et sur son honnêteté, sur la résolution du problème.

Refroidisseur arrivé à l’heure, fonctionne très bien, avec de L’eau froide dans le bac il envoi de l’air frais, je suis très satisfaite.

Reçu récemment, au top, avec cette chaleur et ma chambre dans les combles, je dors a nouveau grace a cet appareil. 3 puissances différentes la position 1 fait tres peu de bruit, en 3 le bruit d'un ventilateur classique. Seul inconvénient la lumière du bouton marche/arrêt qui reste tout le temps allumé

De la daube, n'acheter pas ma de ichine. Fait presque pas de froid. L'eau du réservoir coule pas le bas. Le fil de connectivite fait 40cm impossible de l'avoir à hauteur du visage. Je vous le redis de la daube... Mieux vaut avoir un ventilateur. Bref on en a pour son argent, pas chers mais de la M.

Il ne s'agit pas d'un climatiseur mais plutôt d'un humidificateur. Il ne refroidit rien mais génère une légère brise que l'on peut ressentir à une distance de maximum 2 M.Il n'est pas vraiment silencieux et j'ai des doutes sur l'aspect purification de l'air. Par contre, je vais devoir le démonter car il fuit. C'est juste un gadget, même pas fiable et donc a éviter.

Un mois pourquoi arriver et trouve de La daube qui souffle que dalle des ruptures sans arrêts La lumière un coup sur huit, un câble USB sans prise , débrouilles toi pour trouver le BOn amperage . N'achetez surtout pas cet article ne sert à rien
