Durable QD mount
Good Mount. Very secure and the quick release system is very intuitive, I was very impressed with this. Unfortunately, the mount did not fit the tube on my scope from a length standpoint. It flares at either end so the area that was actually 1 inch did not line up with the couplings.I was able to use individual rings to assuage the issue, but no QD there.Even though it didn’t fit, return was a breeze and refund was issued. Great product and great company.

Solid mounts, but…
Solid and well made mounts. Nice locking mechanisms. Very nice finish on them too. Never got the chance to use them though. The rings did not fit between the objective lenses and eyepieces on the scopes. The tube is 30mm, but the objectives are 34mm. It would have been nice to have the inside measurements between the rings AND the outside measurements to check against the scope. Also, the rings themselves are about 3/4” wide (each ring). Had to return, but I really liked them!

Off center in reverse configuration
This is a solid little mount! I like the quick detach feature because sometimes I like to use irons and don't want to deal with screws to take it off and put it on. The adjustable clamps have simple latches on them that make the assembly feel very secure. In addition to looking nice, it seems pretty well-made and like it could take some abuse. We'll see how well it holds up to my .45-70!The only thing I'm not fond of is when mounting it "backwards" to get better eye relief, it's off-center. I would really appreciate a version of this product that has a rearward offset, that was made with reverse mounting in mind, or without an offset. I also wouldn't mind if it was 1/4 inch or so shorter. That said, this is a fantastic bang for buck, especially if you're not mounting it in reverse configuration, unlike me!

Good first impressions…
UPDATE 5/19/2025:I’ve since taken my new Vortex 4-16x FFP scope with this mount to the range a couple of times, including putting about 200 rounds through it. The good news is that I’ve dialed in the zero and it has held that zero so far. One thing I believe helped: using Loctite to help set the tension screws just right so that after you clasp on the mount, the screws don’t walk out on you during recoil.Speaking of which, my castle nut, which WAS factory staked, actually walked out on me during this time! And the takedown pin detent spring nearly came out of the backplate. Thankfully I caught it in time and was able to fix it and retighten it with a spanner wrench. But was not expecting that! At least the mount was ok though. I’ll update again down the road if need be!Original review:It is immediately evident that this mount is more robust than the mount that came with my Monstrum Banshee 1-6x LPVO (see photos). This adds a little more weight, but that plus the QD make it worth it imo.I haven’t yet taken it to the range to see if it holds zero, but I plan to either this week or next and will update if it doesn’t hold zero. One potential area of concern: the cross bolts are rather shallow, and there are only two (the ones that are tied to the QD levers). It would have been nice if they added another lug or two to add rigidity, particularly for preventing forward or backward movement, but what can you do.One last note: like most Monstrum (and many other metal rifle brand) products, it is made from 6061 aluminum. This is strong enough for me, as I am not planning on “going to battle” with my AR, drop testing it, etc etc. That said, if you are a “hard use” user (eg military or LEO), you might want to invest in a mount from the more reputable brands, such as Larue, Geissele, Unity, Reptilia, etc. Not because this has failed on me yet, but just saying.

Spiffy, but IFFY!
I read the reviews others had posted regarding this mount and noticed people had mentioned that the mount sat offset on many different picatinny rails and even provided pictures to this effect. I decided to purchase this mount to find out for myself why this was occurring. I figured I could always return it if there wasn't a simple solution to the problem. Upon receiving the mount, along with a Monstrum 20 MOA Medium Riser, I attempted to fit the mount onto the riser and sure enough the mount sits offset on the riser. In addition to being offset it is also slightly raised on the side with the locking levers. Upon examination of the mount in an attempt to determine the cause for these issues, I discovered that the noses of the securement nuts protrude too far through the base of the mount and interfere with the dovetails and their ability to match up and seat together. These nuts would either have to be shortened by about 3/32" or a 3/32" hardened flat washer would need to be place on the nuts prior too the nuts being placed in the mount's base. I also noticed that the dovetail on the side of the nuts is very thin and provides a small grip for the matching dovetail on that side. I do not want to modify the mount thereby excluding the MONSTRUM LIFETIME WARRANTY, so I called MONSTRUM and left a detailed voicemail message describing the situation to which I have heard no reply. So for the rest of the mount, it is very heavy duty and I believe it might stand up to recoil of the 50BMG I intended to mount it on. One other issue is that the upper ring halves do not match up correctly with the lower halves. This may be corrected with a scope lapping tool but I would have done this procedure regardless of any brand mount in order to ensure accuracy and to protect my scope tube from any denting or creasing. on it's tube. If I do not hear back from MONSTRUM prior to the RETURN WINDOW closing, I will return the mount and search for a better made unit.
