Perfect for newborn
I bought this for my 3 week year old son since he's still too small for the mamaroo. And it's worked great. He's happy sleeping or just staring out in it. And it's been fun to watch him start to focus on the puppets. The music helps put him to sleep. The vibrator is pretty strong. It also helps him nod off to sleep. But I can't help but wonder if it's jarring his equilibrium. So I only use it when I really need him to settle down. It's also light weight, so I can easily take it around the house as I change rooms. Overall. Good purchase!

Strong, sucure assembly
To be honest, I got this to use as a cat bed. The cats do use it, but not as much as I was hoping they would.....As far as the bouncer itself goes..... I would recommend it for human babies [mine is almost 21]. It was easy to assemble [once I decided to read the directions] and all of the "joins" seem strong and secure. I like that it has 2 positions [I have it "reclining" for the cats]. The cover goes on easily, so washing shouldn't be a problem. Not sure how it will last over time, but my impression is that it would outlast a baby or 2. Oh, and I haven't tried any of the electronics, so cannot comment. Only giving it 4 stars, since I wasn't able to "try it out" on a human baby.

Updated Review: At age nine weeks, our baby LOVES this Bouncer... go figure!
Update (October 13, 2015) - In the review that follows, I complained that the puppets the puppets are a bit large and hideous and our baby found them more frightening than enjoyable and I wasn't too fond of the Bouncer overall. I've got to say, that's changed. My baby is 9 weeks old now and this Bouncer has become a favorite "hanging out" spot for her. She likes the vibrations and the music and, yes, even the puppets. I stand by my criticism of the seat belt buckle (doesn't snap into place or come apart as easily as it should) but I've adjusted my review as our experience with it has changed. And now the original review:The great thing about this Bouncer is that you can use it for a very young infant. Most Bouncers aren't appropriate for very young babies because they can't hold their heads up, but this one can be set for different levels of incline, which means you can use it for a variety of ages. That said, I'm not a big fan, despite the fact that I received it for free (for reviewing purposes) and would really like to say positive things about it. There are a few problems with the design of this Bouncer and one more subjective comment.Problem #1: There's a handle-bar thing that the two puppets are perched upon. When you want to pick up the Bouncer to move it to another room, one naturally picks it up by the bar. When you do that, the bar slips out of the chair. There's nothing to make it "snap" into place so that you can use it to pick up the Bouncer. This is a silly design flaw. It would have been easy to make it so that it snaps into place and then you could easily pick up the Bouncer and move it. But, as is, there's no convenient way to pick this thing up and everyone--I mean EVERYONE--who has tried to pick it up has done the exact same thing where they pick it up by the handlebar, which then falls off, and then they make an annoyed face and say "Well, that's stupid."UPDATE: I just received the following message from the company in response to this review: "Our Quality Assurance team has assured us that the Industry Standard for all infant bouncers with a toy bar, require that the toy bar releases under 5 pounds of force ensuring that the toy bar cannot be used as a carrying handle."I have no idea why that industry standard exists, but apparently it's not a flaw in the design or a mistake on their part; it's an industry standard.Problem #2: There's a little "seat-belt" to hold your infant in place, which is good. What's not so good is that the two pieces that click into place are VERY cheaply made so that it's actually incredibly difficult to open them. This is particularly a problem when you have a baby that is crying and fussing or if you're in a big hurry. These kinds of snap-into-place seat-belts are so common, there's no excuse for not making these easy to open and snap shut.Aesthetics: This Bouncer is a bit hideous. The puppet animals are very large (for an infant) and there are too many bright colors clashing with one another. Our baby does not like it at all (she's terrified of the puppets) and I think it's a bit of sensory overload. Lighter colors and something a little less garish would have been nice.Of course, other reviewers have written that their children, who sound like they're a bit older than our daughter (8 weeks old at the time of writing), really like the puppets, so that may be an age thing as well as a personal taste thing.Sorry to be complaining so much about this Bouncer, but I feel that a few simple tweaks could have made a big difference. If the toy-bar can't be used as a handle because of industry standards, perhaps they could have built-in a handle to the top of the seat or somewhere so it could easily be picked up? More importantly, the "seat belt" needs to open and close more easily. But, for all of that, it is nice to have a Bouncer that accommodates young babies and my wife really likes that the "incline" can be set in different positions.

The puppet idea is genius!
I am in love with this bouncer. Whoever decided to make the toy bar toys puppets should get a raise! It's an awesome idea. We may end up losing the puppets and they may get separated from the toy...But everyone in our house has knelt down, picked up a puppet, and used it to play with the baby. By the time we take this to friends and family (or have company over), baby will be very used to the puppets. So when strangers go to spend time with her and use the puppets to interact, I think it will help her to accept the strangers. So it seems like a really cool way to both encourage interaction with her and also to help her accept strangers. It's not the most amazing quality bouncer we've owned, but it's better than fine. With the metal bars, it's definitely not going to fall apart. The toy bar does not attach tightly because you're not supposed to be able to pick it up by the bar. The cloth is well stitched and seems like it will last. The infant support is good and cute. The music and vibrations are nice too.We really like this, and would definitely suggest it. I wish it were cheaper, but it's a really good idea!

SUPER bright colors, newborns absolutely love it! Puppets are removeable for play or later use too!
Finally, a seat made for the baby in mind instead of the parent! My baby LOVES the bright colors and lots of animal faces with bright, big eyes... and the colorful puppets that attach to the bar (and you can make them talk and move too, which he loves even more!) Plus the seat is super cozy and has a typical angled position... but it ALSO can be adjusted to lay down flat for babies too... great particularly for the newborn. The bar is moveable too... it says it snaps in but it doesn't; however it's not super easy to come out so that's fine... it's sturdy enough and easy to remove. I love that it can bend closer to baby or further away based on how big/little baby is. Great idea.Sturdiness is great, and the padding/straps, etc... are SO cozy and soft. Plus gives baby some awesome little bumpers on each side for the littlest ones so they don't scootch around. All those pads are removable for the older baby as well. Finally, the sounds/features... sound is a jazzy little tune, and it can be loud or medium leveled... no super quiet setting. The vibration is a bit much, if you ask me... but I've never used it much anyway. Just be aware it's a bit more than usual. My ONLY complaint is that the "leaf" with the velcro isn't stitched on very well. I am finding just within a day of removing the puppets a couple times that it's breaking. But you don't need the leaf to attach the puppets so I'm fine with it; they don't add anything to the bar itself.

Adorable bouncer with plushie puppets.
This is an adorable little bouncer. The bouncer itself has a cute print with animals on it such as a giraffe, a panda bear and more. It's very colorful. This bouncer has newborn head support and can grow with your baby up to 25 pounds. It plays sounds and music as well as vibrates.I love the cute plushie hand puppets that come with it. You get a Toucan and a Hippo and both are adorable. The bouncer is lightweight and easy to move. It was easy to put together I out my great nephew in it and he seemed to like it. He especially seemed to like the vibration. I don't have anything negative to say about this bouncer. I think it's a great bouncer.

Nice bouncer
I liked this bouncer. It was not too hard to put together. It worked perfectly - we had no problems. It has a lot of features to it. It has vibration and also melodies, which my baby liked. It is different than other bouncers because it comes with two full size puppets. These are very cute. It also influences you to play with the baby, which is nice. Also, you can take the puppets off, so even though kids outgrow these types of bouncer s pretty quickly, you can keep the puppets and use them for years. It is very cute. With the cute animals, it would work well for a boy or a girl. We use these bouncers all the type with our infant. I would recommend it.

Cute, Bright & does it's duty!
This is an adorable bouncer that is very colorful and would work well for infants of all ages because it's adjustable. It's also easy to assemble. The only real con I saw is that the Toy Bar doesn't "snap" into place. i would have preferred that because the bar comes off very easily. But for me...that's not a deal breaker and bouncers have been like that through the years. You canNOT lift this by the toy bar! But that's OK! I've never owned a bouncer where I could lift it and move it by holding on the toy bar. I gave it 5 stars because it's cute, bright, and does it's duty! Can't go wrong with this one if you have an animal theme.

This is an excellent bouncer for a little one
This is an excellent bouncer for a little one, my wife and I are expecting our first baby in January so we are stocking up. We both loved the colors of this and the fun you can have with it. There are 2 puppets that come with it, it has the safety harness you would expect to secure your little one. The overall quality is really good, we set it up and put a heavy doll in it to test it and it was very sturdy. Overall this is a great addition and we can't wait to get to put our little one in it.

Kiddopotamus Safari So Good Puppeteer Bouncer
This is just too cute :). Very well constructed; not only is this a quality piece, but you can tell a lot of thought was put into making this bouncer so you can feel safe and secure about putting your baby into it.I thought it looked very gender neutral in the photo (was getting this for play time with my niece) but it looks more like a baby boy's bouncer. Not that it matters to me, or my niece, but thought that I'd put it out there for anyone who cares; the blue(s) are a little more predominant up close and personal. The puppets are a nice touch and it makes it more fun for adults and baby to engage and play together :)

Missing part of the toy bar, safety hazard
Assembled easily but the top toy bar did not have the described button in the attachment area to let it click into place. It's clearly shown on the directions as clicking into place and several safety warnings on the device say the bar must be secured that way. I had my husband and a friend both look at it because I thought maybe I was missing something or not catching on to how to click the bar in. Unfortunately I cannot rate the functionality of the item when it is unsafe.
