Homexpert by Honeywell HR30 Comfort+ Programmable Radiator Thermostat

This is a nice digital TRV.Things I like about it:- easy to program- Clip on and off so you don't have to stand on your head to program it- Displays actual measured temperature- Regulates temperature very nicelyThings I don't like about it:- It's not silent. In my opinion it's too noisy for a bedroom. The whirring of the electric motor when it regulates is clearly audible and will wake lighter sleepers.- The display is upside-down. This is mitigated by the swivel screen and the fact that you can pull the whole unit off the valve to program it. Still a bit irritating, though.

Promt despatch and reciept however the box looked like it had already been opened and returned, the instructions were in German and the website and QR code on the box both returned invalid web addresses. I managed to find and download instructions in English from a 3rd party website but was unable to fit the device to the intended radiator, none of the adapters fitted the TRV which I admit was an obscure make although not for the want of trying. I also tried fitting it to different rediator which had a Myson TRV, it would not fit this either so I then gave up and returned it. On the plus side it was resonably easy to programe (with english instrutions) and the programes are comprhensive, I managed to find the factory reset before returning. Also be aware that it is a motorised valve so does make some noise when operating, may not be suitable for bedrooms. Think carefully before purchase especially if the intended TRV is not Honeywell or Drayton.

Do Not Buy same problems as HR20 after about a year the unit fails with an E3 error code and the support is non existant
