brilliant fan and so quiet !!!!
my last 15 yr old honeywell fan finally died so i decided to replace it with this new model. Its a brilliant piece of kit , the only thing i would suggest is googling how to assemble it as the instructions supplied are a bit vague...Once assembled i was really taken aback at how quiet this fan is even on high...i think the fan is high enough without raising it to suit most situations.... all in all a really well made product at an affordable price. VERY VERY HIGHLY RECCOMENDED !!!

Amazing job pedestal fan
This was a recommendation from a friend who was in the process of purchasing a second one for he’s home. I can happily say this was a good recommendation. The quality of this far surpasses anything you will pick up at a budget price. It’s very well built and is sturdy. It has a reassuring weight which means it stands firm. The base is nicely weighted adding to the stability. I love the fact that as stated in the name it is very quite, even at full speed it is allot quieter than the competition. Sleep mode is brilliant which produces a gentle breeze, coupled with a timer and remote you have full control from anywhere within the room. It looks great and is well put together. There is only one craft I’ve that I have experienced that does let it down slightly and that is a slight rattle from the buttons located on the fan itself. At high speeds this is a little annoying, however I have found that this is an intermittent issue and is easily fixed by passing your hands over the buttons to stop the rattle. Not enough of an issue for me to want to part with such a great fan.

Great value for money!
Easy to assemble and very quiet at high settings, almost silent at lowest setting! Only thing that could make this product better would be to add an oscillation toggle to the remote control, but at this price it's an understandable sacrifice. The timer setting is great for helping me get to sleep without waking me up cold in the middle of the night.

Very sturdy. Constant buzzing sound.
I have had the black quiet set version of this fan for a couple of years as I can't sleep without a fan even in the winter as need the white noise. I bought this one as I was pleased to see it now comes in white. Pros. This is an updated version with a much smaller remote control that slots in the back (I'm not keen on it as it is so small it is so easy to lose if it's not tucked in the back.) The fan is very sturdy in design and much improved style as the bottom is now a round plate and it is quite heavy. Has a very powerful fan that gives very cold air flow even on the 1st setting and like a jet engine on number 5 which will be great for hot weather. The cons. The front display for the settings does dim more than the old model but it's still a blue light that you can see that keeps me awake at night and I have to cover it with black card. Why does it have to be a blue light? The fan has a continuous buzzing sound although quieter than most fans it's annoying at night. Makes a rattle sound as well so I've had to stick blue tack on the buttons at the front which helps a bit. If you are a light sleeper this fan may irritate you but for heavy sleepers it's fine. Overall I'm in two minds about this fan. On the one hand much quieter than other fans and very sturdy and cold. On the other hand constant buzzing and rattling and annoying blue light for night time. Also VERY EXPENSIVE and for the price I don't think it's worth it if you need it for sleeping. UPDATE: I returned the above mentioned fan and got a full refund I then purchased the same model fan and it has been brilliant! No buzzing or rattling and very quiet and fine for sleeping. The first fan was clearly faulty so if you have the same problems but you like the fan send it back and try another one I'm glad I did and I am now very happy with the fan.

Honeywell HSF600WE Advanced Quietset Oscillating Stand Fan with Noise Reduction Technology
Nominally an OK fan in terms of noise levels and flow, but I had to return mine as the panel stopped working after a few days and the remote would turn it on but it would turn itself off again after a few hours. Amazon returns were good here.A couple of other gripes: it also struggled to remain at full height extension - the mechanism for locking the stand in place isn't very good and it kept sliding down. This one also had an annoying squeak when oscillating at one side. The design of holder for the remote makes it almost impossible to get the remote back out once it is clipped in. The panel (when it was working) never fully turns off which is rubbish for use in a bedroom if you get disturbed by light easily like me.I replaced with a slightly more expensive EcoAir Zephyr which seems good so far, but not quite as stable perhaps.

Well built but a little on the heavy side
I've owned a Honeywell HS-216E since 2011 and it's performed well over the years, being on almost 24/7 during hot periods. Recently the fan hasn't been spinning as fast as it used to. I put this down to normal wear and tear on the motor. So Honeywell was my first choice for a replacement and this new digitally controlled HSF600WE. First impressions are that it's really well-built, although much heavier than the HS-216E. This is only an issue if you intend to keep moving it around. It has 5 speed settings as opposed to 3, which is great and it performs extremely quietly, almost silent on the slower settings 1-3. The remote control is simple yet effective. I've not used the timer function yet so can't comment on that, but it's nice to have that feature should I ever need it. Time will tell if it performs and lasts as well as my previous pedestal fan, but right now it's a superb piece of kit.
