Devilman: The Classic Collection Vol. 1 Review: It's a classic - Devilman by Go Nagai is a classic, and definitely a must read for anime/manga fans. This is an omnibus containing the first half of Devilman, and Shin Devilman near the end (a spin off where Akira, and Ryo travel back in time). This version is missing a couple of pages compared to the original apparently, but I didn't have a problem with understanding the plot. The story is pretty good, but it kinda feels like it's trying to be too edgy sometimes. The book is formatted beautifully. The cover is very nice, and so is the spine. The back looks good, but the font used for the back is kinda generic. The book is also pretty thick, as it has 680 pages. There's a couple of colored pages too, but some of the coloring is kinda messy (it's still pretty good though). The art looks a little bit like Osamu Tezuka's, but it can still be distinguished as unique, and has some very very detailed pages. This was a really good addition to my collection, and I hope that you'll decide to add it to yours as well. The books was in great condition and I can’t wait to read it ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great release if you're looking for the original story. *by A***X on May 22, 2018* I have to say, I'm pretty glad Devilman Crybaby came out because it brought some hype to the original Devilman story. Since watching it, I've wanted to read the original story, but unfortunately, it's pretty hard to come by, let alone a well translated version. This release is actually translated really well from what I've read and the book seems to be of good quality. Not really much else I can say, everything else is what it was in the original! If that's what you're looking for, this is the release for you!
