... a 62 year old 'Masters' rower and needed something like this to maintain flexibility
I'm a 62 year old 'Masters' rower and needed something like this to maintain flexibility. There are 12 poses in total, 3 for each phase of the stroke cycle. Give yourself about an hour to complete the lot. After a while you really will feel the benefits in focus, core stability and strength. I've seen Cambridge crews using some of these as part of their warm-up routine. On a practical note, the book itself is quite slim but the pages can be bent back to remain flattened on a particular page so that you can follow the instructions, without the pages detatching from the spine - I've used the book for some time and it's still in one piece.

Very thin
This is a very thin volume. Only 12 poses and then some space to write your notes. Not good value for money.

Exactly as it says, yoga for rowers!
A great tool to help train rowers to develop strength and flexibility directly relevant to rowing technique. Great examples and descriptions making links between yoga poses and how they relate to different parts of the stroke. Still need to work on applying the advice!
