TABcareAnti-Theft Low Profile Light Duty VESA 75mm Mini Wall Mount Kit Tablet, LCD LED Display

I had purchased a few of these last year to use as VESA 75 mounts for small devices and realized that I hadn't purchased enough of them for my project. After purchasing more of these (using the same Amazon page I originally used), the new ones I received are now made out of plastic (whereas the original ones were black-coated aluminum). Unfortunately, these are substantially lower quality than their older aluminum counterparts and are not compatible with the aluminum ones -- two devices, one using an aluminum bracket and one using a seemingly-identical plastic bracket cannot be interchanged between the wall-mounted portions of the brackets due to the differing thicknesses of the materials. Also, the security screw is now mating with plastic threads instead of aluminum threads, so it is easier to strip out the hole if they are accidentally over-tightened. Overall, this is a giant leap downward in quality. I was very impressed with the older aluminum brackets but these new plastic ones are just too cheap and not worth the price.

I was expecting the mettalic version just like my previous purchase. The description did not state it was plastic. The screws that holds the pieces together wears out the threading with multiple use and no longer safe to use with a heavier device. The previous mettalic version was more rugged and can trust using it without fear the device will fall off. If using with smaller light weight devices then plastic might hold but still would not trust it. It's not secure enough and the attached device can be easily pulled off versus the mettalic version.Was also surprised the cost was just about the same and so the trade off did not make sense.
