Even though these musicians are not the originals they recreate new versions of original songs and they hit it right on the mark.

I bought this cd because it had a 7 minute version of i just want to celebrate. i was disappointed with it and most all of the other songs. they seem to be played at a slower and sedate pace (perhaps because the musicians are older?) and without the energy and edginess of the studio albums. also too much organ and not enough guitar. also when i opened the cover insert what a huge drag, not one single word about it. i mean just paper colored blue, no info. that sucked. i suppose if you like to hear a variation of the original songs go for it but it couldn't get me excited at all.

Great Rare Earth, as always. I highly recommend it!

These are not the original versions of these classic songs. A later edition of Rare Earth rerecorded these songs for this collection. Not bad, but the originals are much better.

I've always been a fan of Rare Earth, and I prefer the long versions of their songs. This album is perfect. Not only does it contain the original uncut versions, but they sound as fresh and clean as anything out there. For Rare Earth fans, this is as good as it gets.
