the magnets do not stick to the fridge but i dont mind that. if u do need a magnet, look for a differnt timer.this comes with a string so u can wrap it around your wrist or hang it on something, and a kickstand.it takes one aaa battery which i like, no esoteric batteries. i didnt even need to look at the instructions, it's so simple to use. it DOES have an on off switch which is good to not drain the battery.if you want to count up to see how long it takes you to do something, like a stopwatch, u just turn it on via the on switch, then press start. then press stop when u want it to stop, then off switch.press min and sec at same time to reset to 0 (I think turning off and then on via the off/on switch works too)if you want to count down so u know to do a task for only x minutes, you turn it on via the on switch on the side, keep pressing minute till u get to the # you want, then press start.i dontknow what people are on about complaining the alarm is so loud. i was prepared for a foghorn after the reviews but nope, it's loud enough to be heard so u cant miss it but not annoying or crazy loud. i really like thesebut they need to get stronger magnets, and the screen is kind of faded, a little bit hard to read digits. but for my purposes i love em. it's good to know how long it takes you to walk to x place etc. i have a watch and phone that can do this but i like the timers for some reason.

This timer works great for young kids. The stand is a bit flimsy, but hasn't broke. The magnet works great on my magnetic bulletin board, but slides down on my satina fridge. You do have to remember to turn it off or the battery dies. On my first order one timer did not work. I emailed the company and they sent me a replacement.

They really only function when they want to. They're not durable. Out of the whole pack one works. They're muted or don't work anytime my boyfriend drops them. The timer and buttons worked fine for awhile but often time stopped.

I love these timers because they are bigger than your average timer, simple to use with kids who need help sharing or who have no idea how long 1 minute actually is. We use one in our bathroom for brushing teeth and one in the playroom for sharing. It is easy to reset and it shows the time counting down. Would highly recommend especially for the price.

Bought these timers for classroom use. The students and I really like how big they are and how easy to use they are. The battery covers seem to stay on better than the older ones. I buy these timers several times a year.

AS OTHERS HAVE STATED THE ALARM IS QUITE LOUD. MY STOVE TIMER WAS TOO SOFT I COULD NOT HEAR IT FROM THE OTHER ROOM. I CAN NOW, AND ITS EASY TO SET. I GOT ONE FOR MY MOTORHOME TOO
