To reflect the visitor's meter enough of the wall or other object without movement. If the beam does not reflect why, it will also be considered, just the accuracy will be lower. Watch the video on Youtube, there in detail and visually tell about it. https://youtu.be/vkFt6NbgkU0 **Q: Prompt please, the counter counts the incoming and outgoing of people or just those visitors that come in the door?** A: Thank you for your question! Visitors counter considers each interrupt the beam, when a person enters and leaves. To get the number of visitors, you need to sum the display counter divided by 2. **Q: can this be used to count cars** A: Thank you for your question, even though the device is designed to count people — it can count other items, including cars. And at the same time there are a lot of nuances. From which - where will be counted in the room or on the street, with what speed the car will move, passing the visitors counter, what are the lighting conditions. As for the counting of cars, there are so many nuances that even taking into account which, you will most likely get only approximate figures exactly. So it is better for cars to use special devices for cars. And at the same time, if you are ready to try - write me your situation on the email and we will think of something. Thank. My e-mail: info@peoplecounting.pro **Q: Does the room have to be very well lit for the unit to operate? How far from the unit must the door or people pass?** A: Yes, daylight. At the same time a stable light from the lighting lamps. For conditions with natural light from the sun or daylight from the street, this counter will not work. In this case, you need to take a counter with an infrared beam, for example, a people counter Smart Counter Plus or Smart Counter Data ## Frequently Bought Together - SmartCoounter Retail People Counter Security Checkpoint - Smart Traffic Counter, Wireless Visitor Counter, Battery Operated Customer Counter, Easy to Install Door Counter - Sharpie Permanent Markers Bulk Set, Fine Tip Markers Set, Markers For Plastic, Metal, Wood, And More, Black, 36 Count - Amazon Basics Multipurpose Copy Printer Paper, 8.5" x 11", 20 lb, 10 Reams, 5000 Sheets, 92 Bright, White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/640031489-retail-people-counter-security-checkpoint-smart-traffic-counter-wireless-visitor](https://www.desertcart.be/products/640031489-retail-people-counter-security-checkpoint-smart-traffic-counter-wireless-visitor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
