Good effective product which comes in 2 sizes so measure your bricks first. I used the 9x3 as I live in a 70's house and found them very easy to fit as the holes lined up with the mortar and were easy to drill. If you find any unevenness, buy some self adhesive draught excluder and neatly fit in around the wall side of the outer plate to eliminate even the slightest gap. This also keeps the fly screen in place when fitting. The product also looks very neat as opposed to a rusty grill and definitely works. Don't forget to spray a suitable insecticide into the cavity before fitting. 10 out of 10. A bargain. Job done. MD.
