Keen Home KHTRMKT1212 Trim Kit, 12x12

I spent literally thousands of dollars on a Keen Home system for every room of my home. This included 12 temperature sensors, 12 smart vents, and 4 repeaters. Out of the box, 5 of these vents did not work in some way. 2 simply will not pair despite being literally feet from the repeated and having fresh batteries. 3 are paired but will not function automatically despite following all instructions.I contacted support via the chat feature on March 11, and I got paired with "Nate" who occasionally responded every 1-3 weeks until April 11, when he completely stopped responding.So from 11-Mar through present, 01-May, now outside of the return window, I still haven't received instructions on replacing the defective temperature sensors.I really wish I had read these reviews and gone with a different company. We've since had crown molding installed and it was cut to fit specifically around the Keen Home vents. We cannot use other vents without replacing the crown molding in EVERY ROOM.

Waste of money, I would give 0 stars if I can. We bought almost 10 of these vents, looks mondern and pretty. That’s all what the good side of these vents. They keep loose connection daily basis, all of them, so when it loose connection, then your room is not cool or heat as the schedule set, until you notice it one day. What a mess, this can cause serious issues with your AC unit. The customer service is also terrible, no help at all. What we can do with these expensive junk now?

I highly suggest going with a different company for your smart vent needs. Although the vents do work, the customer service is the WORST. Which leads me to believe any future support needed will not be had, and eventually the company will not survive.

Simply put, if you install this system correctly it will work correctly. It took me a couple hours to figure out how to design this equipment into my current HVAC system and now I have zone control where I need it. The HVAC company wanted over 3k to outfit my basement as a separate zone but this system has done it for about $500 and I have 3 separate zone. So far I’m very happy with this product.
