Good value for 200 quid.
Nice colours once contrast upped to 80%. reasonably clean image - not expecting perfection for 200 quid - sharpness needed to about 3/5 (default) whereas I'd expect no sharpness required for HDMI/miniDP laptop input - but otherwise ok. As others say - speakers are terrible - one in my macbook are much better so just leave sound to come though those.

The cheapest 27" WQHD IPS monitor on Amazon
Got this order the next day, even though it was supposed to take more than a week to arrive, so that was great. The monitor itself works as expected. At this price point (£220) it's unbeatable. The cheapest 27" WQHD IPS monitor you can find on amazon after this one costs almost £100 more. The loudspeakers are useless though, barely audible, distorted, muffled. So I just pretend they're not there. Thankfully, it comes with an AUDIO jack out, so you can plug it into any speakers.Compatible with any VESA mount, which is not true of every monitor.

Best 1440p monitor for price range.
This monitor is almost perfect. Resolution at 1440p is amazing. Colours are superb with Lots of rear Port connections.Downsides are onboard speakers (separate speaker required) and the awful menu and button positions make it very frustrating trying to adjust settings but otherwise faultless.

Just right for anyone afflicted by Adobe's 'menu creep'
It's possible that more exacting users might give this less than five stars but it does exactly what I bought it for. I had been looking for a reasonably priced WQHD monitor for a while and was just about to settle for one costing £60 more than this that was well reviewed but ugly. I did one last search and this popped up as a new release.I already had a 27-inch HD monitor but Adobe's 'menu creep' meant I could no longer fit the whole Indesign toolbar across it. The extra pixelage of this Hanns.G monitor removes that infuriating problem and also increases screen sharpness, boosting my productivity (that should please the Chancellor). It also looks very stylish. The speakers are a non-issue – not quite sure what the Hanns.G PR people were on when they described them as 'immersive' but you don't really expect decent sound from a monitor at this price and these days a tenner will get you a good pair of PC speakers. I can't comment on whether this would be a good gaming monitor. In summary, an excellent monitor for the price – if you are looking for more screen 'real estate' in a stylish, affordable package, I recommend this.

OK for a cheap monitor but ultimately frustrating
I bought three of these 6 months ago for work. I bought them because they seemed good value and had multiple input options (2xHDMI, DP, mini-DP). A few weeks ago, I tried getting them to work with two laptops (one via DP, second via HDMI or mini-DP). This has caused endless problems, due to basic bugs in the monitor's control software. I now want to return them for a refund. The monitor works fine connected to a single laptop. But when two laptops are connected at the same time, the monitor does not reliably switch between inputs. Instead it will decide the input is not connected, and straight away put the monitor into sleep mode. Then the laptop thinks there is no monitor connected, and switches back to its internal LCD screen. So specifically, the problems are:- The monitor puts itself to sleep too quickly and there does not appear to be any setting to delay going to sleep mode- The monitor is too quick to decide an input isn't connected and automatically switches back to a different input- The settings buttons and on-screen display don't function if the monitor has put itself to sleep. There is no way for the user to get it to wake up; it is triggered only by a signal on what it regards as the current display input.- In addition, the on-screen display settings is buggy: e.g. (i) when the OSD first appears, it is already in submenus of the Picture menu. But when you press i/R to go up to the main menu level, it closes the OSD. (ii) The left button moves the selection to the right, the right button moves the selection to the left. These problems are so bad I regard the monitor as defective as manufactured and want to return them for a refund so I can buy a different brand.

Fantastic bright monitor
Wow. What a great monitor and a great price. I visited high street retailers, other online and did my research before buying a new monitor and spent ages before deciding on this one. Nice bright large screen and fitted onto my 100 x 100 VESA mount within minutes. The stand that comes with it is actually a very nice design also. I use this as a second screen off my Macbook Air using a thunderbolt connector to the HDMI port and it works great and is picked up as a second screen instantly without any fiddling of settings. Upgraded from a previous 19 inch and it feels massive. Love it!

Great value
My only criticism is the lack of adjustment in the stand; there's a little bit of tilt and nothing else (fixed height). But it is solid metal and feels very stable. It wakes up faster that anything I've ever used which is good because I'm impatient.Inputs could be an issue, HDMI, Display Port and Mini Display Port, no VGA or DVI.Response times are fine for my use but might not make gamers happy.

Fell short of relatively low expectations.
Purchased as a 2nd monitor for a MacBook Pro. It worked fine for 2 hours and then the screen went dark. Permanently. The box was sealed with a sticker saying “inspected”.
